Visiting someone at work is a felony under Federal law unless they are bartender or server.

Post by Mercury »

You may have known him/her from your favorite bar or restaurant. You may have known them from school. You may have known them from your old job. But now, he/she is working either in a receptionist office, a bank, the local Wal Mart Customer Service desk, the local fire station, dispatch center, police station, municipal facility, a cleaning center, an H&R Block, a supermarket, a retail store, or a movie theater.

Forget about trying to visit him/her at his/her new job! Forget about ever dropping in and saying hello. It's a felony under Federal law in the United States of America to do exactly that! And it's enforced by the FBI, the United States Department of Homeland Security, the United States Marshals, the United States Military, and the United States Supreme Court. Under Federal law, no person is ever to visit any person or persons at work unless it is strictly business-related. Only bartenders and wait staff/servers at restaurants are exempt. Violators are subject to a mandatory penalty of up to one hundred thirty five (135) years to life in Federal prison.

Sounds rather exaggerated to me - even by strange US-standards.
Any reference, any link to a reliable source please.

They say on average a person commits 3 felonies a day in the US and is unaware of it because of how many laws have been inacted in America, this is why when Trump came into office they were aiming for every law Congress enacts it has to get rid of 3 that are on the books which makes sense to me....

So you're telling me like you're going to visit your friend who is receptionist in the lobby of the local hotel if you get blasted and taken down by a SWAT team!

Moretorque: That sounds good. What are these 3 felonies, I wonder? Are they the same ones or is it that people wind up committing about that many more or less whatever they're doing?
