It's pretty much just Chinese government that is still freaking out about it, not so much the Chinese people anymore. Even North Korea (lol) and Taiwan have basically said "let it rip" without saying the actual words. Even in China people aren't afraid of the virus itself, they're afraid of being dragged off to a quarantine camp and having their home broken into for "disinfection" while they aren't there. Zero Covid in China is mainly about politics now, just like the Great Leap Forwards and the One Child Policy were continued long after they ceased to be useful and actually became harmful.
