The problem I have with such surveys is that they do not interview rank and file people like us. I think mostly it is some bloated CEOs with generous expense budgets that they ask. How about asking a normal guy like me? They never do because a normal guy cannot even emigrate anywhere because of expenses involved and all kinds of nationalistic prejudices. Plus visas are hard to get,
And also, in all these surveys/articles , the second part of the article is missing, such as " here is how you can move to France to live and get your visa". Yeah, Southern Fance is nice and so in Monaco and so is Italy etc. But now, how about the visa thing? And where the jobs are. A big fat expat package would make France great. Can we all get it, though? And how easy is it to get girls? Is that not a factor?
And who is the country good for racially speaking? A tall white US CEO with a $100,000 + US salary is OK in France. How about some Arab immigrant from Morocco or some poor African? Would he think France is a good place to live? The riots with burning cars say otherwise.
Time to start our own survey.

This is the actual survey that the article is referring to:

Residents in EU don't have the same issues that we do with living and working in another EU member state.
There's a lot of Britons who own property abroad, and English language web sites like this one is catered to them and NOT us (US citizens):

Anyways, to some the grass is always greener on the other side. My teacher is French and he couldn't wait to leave France.
