Is it a good or bad idea?

Post by Iawesome60 »

I loathe using vulgarity because:
-When I use it, it is arduous to stop. There are times I may use it at the wrong time and the wrong place.
-When I use it on occasion, i'm angry. I don't want to be an angry person.
-When I use it on occasion, I feel like i'll wound others mentally around me. No one deserves to be wounded.
-When I use it on occasion, I feel as if a confrontation is going to ensue. I'm a lover, not a fighter. I loathe fighting physically and arguing with others. I'm a peaceful person.

Is it a bad thing that I prefer not to use vulgarity? Also, I loathe using the d word, even though it's been debated that it is not a vulgar word.

I refuse to use disparaging and offensive words. Examples of disparaging and offensive words are: the n word (anyone with African features), the c word (anyone with European features), the b word (a woman), the f word (a male homosexual), the d word (a lesbian), and others for other nationalities and other individuals. I admit, I used offensive words before and I felt mortified. I loathe feeling mortified about anything. If I feel like I did anything wrong, it eats me up. I have to take accountability for anything I do.

In the USA and other countries, people are made fun of because of who they are. Most likely, disparaging and offensive words are used. Sometimes, they use violence. Also, the target or targets feel bad about themselves. The targets or target may commit suicide, kill the bullies, and etcetera. The bullies or bully should be culpable in some way. The targets or target should get justice. That's why I don't use disparaging and offensive words or say them.

Is it a good or bad idea that I don't prefer using vulgarity or disparaging and offensive words to people? Saying disparaging and offensive words count too. Examples are: saying if someone is slow (when they have a disability), calling someone an animal, saying someone looks like an animal, and calling someone names (like a nerd).
There aren't many attractive women (inside and outside) in America. A man wants a physically attractive woman with attractive personality traits. American women usually don't have that combination.

Ever since I found Winston's website and read the information on there, my life has been much easier and I've been a MUCH more happier person!

Good idea. I curse a lot, but I know how to control it. I am fine with you not cursing, but just like religion, don't force feed your beliefs on others like telling people they can't say the "N" word or what not. That's what really gets people pissed off. One of my pet peeves, anyway.

This is just my two cents.....I don't see why it's a bad idea NOT to use profanity. I don't like to use it myself and avoid it but it happens when I'm angry or irritated at something or at a situation. It's ok to get angry at some point because it's natural as long it isn't every second of the day. It relieves tension and stress. As long anger is released in a way that doesn't hurt anyone, it's fine. One can either exercise, play a sport, or do other activities.

Anyways, there are many cons (as you listed) to using profanity but can't find any for NOT doing so. My father once said (not per verbatim) "profanity is the language of an uneducated man." People who constantly cuss look dumb and lack vocabulary to express themselves. It's seen as lower class behavior in some places.
