DDG actually just put up a whole bunch of billboards along US 41 here in Wisconsin over the past couple of months, kind of cool actually.
Duckduckgo's selling point is privacy but they don't necessarily deliver on that.

Many websites connected to Google slow down Firefox because they are pro-privacy. I'm not sure about Firefox-based browsers like Pale Moon and Waterfox. So if you want speed you can download Brave or Iridium or Vivaldi or one of the other ones to get a browser as fast as Chrome and Edge but with better features and a lot more privacy. Be sure to go into preferences and disable the default settings that use Google services.

If you're still using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge or Safari and services like Google.com then kill yourself.

That's a bit over the top. We should be encouraging and spreading awareness of alternative search engines and browsers that do respect privacy, not advocating for the suicide of billions of people around the world.

Google is under fire for downloading and installing a Chrome browser extension that allegedly listens to a user's conversations.

The accusations first came from Rick Falkvinge, founder of the Pirate Party, who says Google has installed black box code, or code that cannot be audited by other parties, into the open-source Chromium, the browser upon which Chrome is based. This code is said to be downloading and installing an extension that activates the "Ok Google" search function, which allows users to search for things via voice when they open Google's home page or a blank, new tab on Chrome.

"Your computer has been stealth configured to send what was being said in your room to somebody else, to a private company in another country, without your consent or knowledge, an audio transmission triggered by... an unknown and unverifiable set of conditions," says Falkvinge.

Falkvinge says the solution to stop technology companies from eavesdropping is not a software switch but a physical hardware switch that can cut the microphone off from its electrical supply. However, unless somebody gets to audit that code, we can't really know for sure if Google, or Apple listening out for "Hey Siri" and Microsoft listening out for "Hey Cortana," is actually eavesdropping in on you right now.

Are we helpless against Big Tech (MAGAFT - Microsoft, Apple, Google, Amazon, Facebook, Twitter)? Actually we can weaken them! In this video we will talk about solutions that will reduce their power over us. I will talk about big picture 4 big picture solutions that I believe eliminate 80% of the data.

I'm using Brave browser now. Wow it's so smooth and seamless, and doesn't show ads too. Seems to be lighter and less bulky than Google Chrome browser too. Seems faster as well.

It seems faster and less bulky than a big tech browser designed to spy on you? To download a better option and then to open it and import your old bookmarks can take as much as a minute.

Have you noticed something wrong with YouTube lately? The videos on there keep crashing every few minutes. It's not my browser because other sites still work well. I also cleared my browser cache and cookies too and restarted my computer, so it can't be my computer's problem. Must be YouTube's problem. What is going on?
It could be a temporary issue however Youtube has been known for years to slow down streaming for Firefox users and even disabled it entirely to pressure people to switch to Chrome. The war was specifically on Mozilla's user base because Opera, Safari and other non-Google browsers still worked albeit at slower speeds than Chrome fueling the misconception that Chrome had them all beat in technology. Keep track of when the errors occur so you'll recognize them in the future. Whatever browser you're on it could be ad blockers and your other add-ons or extensions crashing Youtube but if you're on Brave it's possibly they are causing streaming problems to pressure you to leave the browsers that offer more privacy. But Brave like Microsoft Edge is based on Chromium and faces less hurdles than Firefox because it doesn't directly challenge Google's monopoly.

Does Brave Browser Really Beat Fingerprinting?
https://lbry.tv/@RobBraxmanTech:6/brave:8
Brave Browser was revised in 2020 and received a slew of features related to better defense against browser fingerprinting. Or at least that's the claim. In this video we put this to a test, by actually attempting to fingerprint a Brave Browser session in different circumstances while we also theorize some possible ways to evade the defense.

In the end we will figure out exactly what Brave does differently from other browsers and we will see if it lives up to the hype. Is it unbeatable by a browser fingerprint tracker? Or is it flawed? Find out the results of the actual test.

We also compare it to Chrome and Firefox using default settings on those browsers.

The Great Firewall of...America? WTZ!
https://lbry.tv/@RobBraxmanTech:6/firewall:d
https://odysee.com/@RobBraxmanTech:6/firewall:d
This past week on Feb 2 - Feb 7, 2021 a massive attack was conducted on encrypted services, particular VPN's. VPN traffic was throttled to near unusability.

Basically in 2021, the Great Firewall of the USA was turned on. And then abrubtly turned off.

Purpose of the action was unknown. No party stepped up to acknowledge and aside from me, no one has stepped up to call any Internet Provider of their egregious action against privacy minded people.

Why did this attack happen?
Why did the attack stop?

Which company is responsible?
Is this because of a government mandate?
Why the concerted efforts with cable companies to throttle on the other side?

Was it because they had network congestion and were just trying to deal with that? But why the selective choice of throttling the people interested in privacy?

Since VPN's can cloak themselves, why even bother to do this since at best the effect is temporary?

HOT NEWS! Is Google Ending its Creepy Practices? No more Cookies, Fingerprinting, and IP Tracking
https://odysee.com/@RobBraxmanTech:6/google-cookies:6
Google announced that they will be phasing out the ability to use cross-site cookies which we generally know as "trackers". Also they are implementing something called "anti-fingerprinting" to prevent 3rd parties from doing browser fingerprinting. There's also a move towards "IP Blindness" which will be used by the browser to ensure that sites do not see your IP address.

Sounds like really nice moves right? Let's figure out if these changes by Google are because they no longer want to be the creepy company. Are they our new partner in privacy?

Let's find out.

You need to see this...Society is changing
https://odysee.com/@RobBraxmanTech:6/society:4
Society is changing. With the advent of centralized data on each person and permanent records, certain expectations of human behavior will no longer apply. We will be judged according to a new set of rules that is based on a lifetime record. What started out to be a Credit Score will now be expanded to a social score and used in ways we cannot even imagine.

Let's analyze this. Let's see where we were, see where we are and see where we are headed.
