Printer cartridges

I've got a Canon 3400 series printer. When I go to print I get an error message that the black ink is low or almost out but it's totally lying. This is just their way for the consumer to run out and buy another ink cartridge.

What I do is open the door then pop out both the black and color ink cartridges then put them back in again. This way you are tricking it into thinking you got a new cartridge. Prints totally fine.

So they are lying to us to get us to buy new cartridges.

This has happened not only on Canon printers but HP and others.
