I was at the train station and these two girls were tuning out the world hooked up to smart phones. One of them said "We fixin' to be here all muh-****in' day, N-word. Sheeyit."
The N word is just trivially thrown around with no regard to where it came from or the history behind it. They heard it in some rap song or they heard their friends using it and it became part of their culture. I was there thinking to myself - "And America wonders why we hate its daughters".
And yes, it applies to America's sons too.
Or do young people know what it means and don't care or what?
Do young people even know what the N word means?
