E_I, you'd probably enjoy a visit.
I spent the better part of a week there, some years ago.
Even though much of what R77 says is true, I still had a decent time.
Why? Because I didn't "demand" to be impressed/wanted/whatever by the people there.
I was content to be ignored. :)
'Looked around, went on a couple tours, got hit on by a wanna-be milf or two, and just rolled with it.

On the strip, you can walk around all hours day/night, no one bothers you ... except for gangs of little Hispanics on the strip, wordlessly offering flyers to you with pics of "company" you can rent.
Get near any hotel/casino, people offer free tickets to the various shows.

Snatch-hound guys who go to "Lost Wages" thinking they're going to get action/attention like one of the "Ocean's 11" cast members WILL be let down, unless they are attractive/charming or stack much cash (or have friends who do).
Ballers get to play a lot, vacationers get to play a little.
For working stiffs living there, it's just another place to work. Almost all service people expect a tip.

Las Vegas is good if:

- you like to gamble
- you like one night stands
- you like grand shows (ie: Cirque du Soleil, Celine Dion, etc.)

If you don't like any of those things, Vegas isn't a good fit for you.

But to be honest, I didn't find the people there to be any more or any less friendly (or the girls any more or any less slutty) than at my local bar/club.

As far as the other cities mentioned, I used to live in NYC and I currently live close to LA. It was pretty easy to get laid in NYC. I don't go to LA that much because the traffic is so awful and I don't really like the general vibe there. So I can't really say how the people are there, beyond a few anecdotal experiences.

I've traveled to all of the very popular cities in the US (excluding Miami). I found people to be the same everywhere: mostly slutty girls that are generally not relationship material. Of course, there are exceptions, but this is the norm. People can be friendly, but not really for the most part.

Well I'm a meathead (no pun whatsoever intended) so I would go for "dusting" off the meat. I had a couple of incidences in Virginia where I ate the most expensive meats in one sitting and had a couple of buffet servers roll their eyes at me and talk s.hit in Hindu or in Cantonese. lol and cheap meats like baked gmo'ed tilapia, I can eat the whole thing in one sitting - done.

Meat: Fried, baked, steamed: all edible at the buffet to me!!! Eggs too. Big time protein fiend.
I hope I will NOT get a gout in my foot when I hit the 50s hence why I need to get out and go to a country that doesn't do all that additive-preservative hormonal shi.t to their food.

One time in The Bronx at a Chinese buffet, I had "inhaled" a meat loaf in one sitting. Chinese meat loaf > any American meat loaf I had. It tastes like sloppy joe but with the texture of American meat loaf.

@Teal Lantern,

You're a fool, man. lol (because I like your signature slogan about the cow and the milk...good palindrome-like twist lol).
But yeah, I might do that one day, but there's an Indian buffet in Fairfax, Virginia that has some of the best food I had
eaten in my life. Hardly any White people go there and sadly enough, no Blacks go there. All Hindu Indians in custom dress speaking in Hindu with the best south Indian food outside of India ever! as a 12 dollar all-you-can-eat buffet!!!

I seriously doubt that any Vegas buffet can top it, but I believe that Vegas has exceptional American-styled buffets.

How is it good for one night stands? Can you give me step by step directions on getting one night stands here that I can follow to the letter? lol

If you can do that, and it really works, I'll pay you. Otherwise, that's just a myth.

Where exactly do you go to get one night stands? lol

Are you referring to the $400 an hour prostitutes here? Or regular girls?

The clubs are full of girls who look like plastic and wear too much makeup, and are mostly shallow gold diggers. It's not even an inclusive place, so why are clubs supposed to be good ways to meet people? It doesn't make sense.

Falcon is coming here tomorrow by the way. We will go around to the strip and see how approachable the girls are here. lol

Well, like I said, it's not much different than the normal nightlife scene, but girls have a vacation mentality and hooking up in Vegas is almost encouraged by the media ("What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas").

I don't have a magic code to get laid. I'm a friendly guy and I talk to a lot of people, including girls. One girl sticks, then I just hang out with them for the night and hook up with them. Nothing crazy.

Sometimes, they're dtf almost immediately. I just take the cues and roll with it.

Well, in Vegas, I stayed at the MGM Grand. I just hung out in the bar below it, the Cosmopolitan, and walked around the strip.

Are you referring to the $400 an hour hoes here? Or regular girls?
I'm definitely not against prostitution, but $400 an hour is pretty ridiculous. I'd rather jerk off than pay that amount just for sex. :P

Clubs are all the same wherever you go. I thought about going to Mirage, but it was $50 to get in. So I balked on that.

But usually in clubs, I either go up and talk to the girls that aren't on the dance floor or I just start grinding with the girls on the dance floor. They're not good places to "meet people," but they work well enough if one night stands are what you're after lol.
Falcon is coming here tomorrow by the way. We will go around to the strip and see how approachable the girls are here. lol

I didn't find it to be too much different from approaching girls during the nightlife anywhere else in the US. But, like I said, they have a vacation mentality, so if they're into you, it'll be a bit easier to f**k them.

I agree Winston, a lot of guys I know who said they have had a one night stand are actually lying, or had a one nighter with a fat chick or ugly chick!

I would estimate that in the US, only 5% of men have actually had a one night stand and most of them had it with a ugly girl or fat girl.

Women in America are very standoffish, anti-social and paranoid of men. How the hell can a guy get a one night stand if the women don't even give him a chance to talk to them?

One night stands are a myth in the USA, they are much more common in countries where women are not snobby or paranoid of men. Countries like Germany, Ukraine, Russia and the Philippines have MUCH friendlier women and the women in those countries are not scared to death of men approaching them.

Yes, it is easier (and more pleasant) to get laid outside of the US, but it's not particularly difficult to have ONS. Of course, it doesn't happen every night and you have to put in the work, but it certainly does happen.

Do you actually have any experience in bars/clubs? It does take some effort to get comfortable with the scene, but it certainly can be done.

Maverick,
Anything is possible, but "probable" is another thing. The thing is, to score in clubs, you have to:

1. Go there a lot (regularly, not just once or twice) and endure the toxic vibe there.
2. Be a good dancer.
3. Be a clubbing type of guy. If you aren't a clubbing type, you won't enjoy it and it will deflate you or make you feel insecure. You ain't gonna shine there.
4. Be above average in looks.

But even then, most of the easy lays will be with unattractive women, older women or chubby ones.

You also have to endure the toxic vibe and energy there, if you go regularly. Not just once or twice.

It's not even a friendly atmosphere. This means that you have to "shine" there in order to get noticed.

Women there get standoffish toward guys who approach them. They aren't friendlier in clubs than in any other public place. So what's behind the stereotype that clubs are a place to meet people?

Since I rarely visit the US, I don't experience this. I come see my parents every three years for a week or two. By the end of the 2nd week, I'm ready to leave. But I'm so caught up catching up, shopping, visiting relatives and traveling I don't have much time to be depressed.

I've been to Vegas around 20 times and when I go, I never get a whiff of the depressed vibe. Most of the times I've went have been to catch a fight or for a long weekend so...I don't really remember many negatives there other than when I was $1500 up and lost $800 of this.

These are all not necessarily true. I know plenty of guys that do reasonably well that don't match most of that criteria.

With that said, I was into PUA for a very long time (5+ years). While I now disagree with most of their strategies and many of their mindsets, it gave me a TON of experience night clubs, so much so that I'm able to get laid relatively easily (compared to most guys).

Sometimes the girls are hot, sometimes they are average. I don't go below average.

But it took years to get to this level (and even now, I have maybe 2-3 ONS per month on average if I really put in the effort and I go out on fridays and saturdays). Not worth it for all that time imo, but it's do-able.

Better served going overseas as everyone on here is already aware lol.

Winston wrote:Have any of you noticed that despite the clean streets and air around you in America, that it has a depressing, empty and meaningless vibe that deflates you? It's like something creates an angst in you that makes you feel like you are worthless and life is meaningless. You ever notice that?

Something in the environment and people seems to create it, or perhaps it's due to some vortex from the consciousness of the land. I'm sure that the soulless dull bland non-creative architecture of the suburbs plays a role in this too.

It's a double whammy when combined with the feeling of disconnectedness inherent in the social atmosphere and environment around you.

Immigrants who come to America must feel conflicted: On the one hand they appreciate the comforts, clean streets and air, and consumer choices in America. But on the other, they feel this inherent social disconnectedness that they can't understand, as well as the depressing deflating vibe that tells them that life is meaningless and worthless. This must be confusing and causes them to wonder if it's all worth it or not, especially when they realize that life in America isn't as exciting as they imagined.

On top of that, internal suffering is magnified in America because:

1) You live in a perpetual state of wanting, needing and dissatisfaction.
2) The society around you keeps pushing you to overwork and overconsume, as if that's all that matters and all you're good for. Work more, consume more! Don't stop! It's good for the economy, blah blah.

I know this is true to an extent everywhere, but it's magnified to the extreme in America. And coupled with the inherent sense of isolation, disconnectedness and the depressing/deflating vibe, makes it all the more worse.

Any of you notice all this? It's one of those things you feel deep down but isn't easy to put into words, especially when no one else dares to openly say such things, as there is a loser stigma attached to it. Instead, you are expected to put up a facade and deny your suffering.

I suspect that when Americans were largely disconnected from their rural roots, they were left with not much n else.
In contrast to all I read here, I am now in a small town in Oregon.(I have been here a month- my wife just joined me
from the Philippines last week. Our property in Mindanao is being managed by my father in law until our return.)
It is very quaint, a bit rough and redneck, but far different than anything being discussed here. We have two horses here
and today we rode down to the general store and had lunch. Really no problem here and very laid back...a few of the
old birds here are jealous and a few men are envious, but all in all, it is nothing like the America on the television.
We planted about 10 acres of blueberries here and I am doing pest control studies. This is all preparation
for our travel down to Chile in October where we will plant about 44 acres in blueberries this year.

You really can choose a different path, even in America, but most want all the fun of high speed amoral modern
America and then they are upset by the crappy side of the very same thing they are addicted to.
