She's cute, she speaks perfect English, and seems nice enough. I have made eye contact with her several times and she smiled at me. There's only one problem..... I don't really feel comfortable approaching her because there's this guy that works for the international program at the college that is always with her. It's ridiculous... This guy is up her ass 24/7. He sits beside her in class and anytime I see her on campus he is with her. The weirdest thing is like I said she speaks perfect English and I don't see why she needs an employee from the college to babysit her when she's on campus. I wouldn't be at all surprised if this international department guy has the hots for her and wants to be a clock blocker because he wants her for himself. He is slightly balding, shorty, chubby, nerdy looking, and is in his 30s. He is the poster child for the type of guys that would be incel as hell in America. My Spanish professor (That's the class I have with her) has evidently noticed that everyone kind of shies away from that girl because today she encouraged the whole class to talk to her and ask questions. I think she did this because its very odd when guys aren't talking to a cute foreign girl. And that's exactly what is happening! Nobody approaches her because that guy is up her ass. It's sad because this guy is robbing her of her chance to meet people and make connections. It just doesn't make any sense.

Or maybe instead of sitting around envying other men who have had the courage to talk to women, he got up off his butt and actually talked to a woman! There's nothing wrong with being short, bald, chubby and nerdy looking. Don't you think that is a tiny bit misandrist? This is your fellow man. He is not your enemy. Think about it. He is simply doing what he is supposed to be doing, and that is going after the woman he wants. Why would you fault him for that? If she belongs to him then you will just have to find another woman (or rather let a woman find you, because first it is the woman's choice). There are thousands of women likely on that campus. There is no need for you to turn things into a competition.

Don't believe there are a limited number of available women; the scarcity principle, because that will make you desperate. You must believe in terms of abundance. Remember there are 3.5 billion women on this earth. That's plenty of women. So relax.

GoingAwol should just go introduce himself to her and make conversation, even with dude there. What can he do? Introduce yourself to both of them. Make small talk. Then maybe you can even ask if they are together.

I introduce myself to women in my surroundings all the time. There is no big deal. First the ice must be broken by the man. At the point if the woman is interested the chase will begin.
