Many immigrants view the United States as the land of opportunity because it presents them with life options they may not have had in their countries. Employment that could lead to economic stability is a big draw that foreign-born Americans pursue diligently.

Usually those from poorer countries such as Honduras, Mexico, India and African countries. Not everyone can find good employment and/or succeed, as well. You also need certain skills/abilities that are in demand. And social life sucks because of xenophobia and racism, plus the people are just too busy.
