My Sociology class had a discussion on prostitution today
My Sociology class had a discussion on prostitution today
My professor had the class discuss prostitution today, and I just kept my mouth closed and listened to the sheer stupidity of my classmates. To be more specific, the professor asked us to think of ways prostitution could be positive (functional) for society. Oh, you wouldn't believe the pearls my classmates came up with (sarcasm). One bimbo said "It could help doctors have more understanding of STDs. There was also a lot of talk about how it might be safer for women if it were legalized and regulated, but nobody talked about how it could be positive for men and allow them access to sexual release. My professor, obviously puzzled by this said, "Isn't there also a chance that there are some men who have trouble forming relationships who would benefit from prostitution, perhaps? What problems might prevent some men from entering normal sexual/romantic relationships?" Immediately, one jackass spouted off "Maybe sociopaths have issues with that!" and the class roared with laughter. It took everything in me not to get up from my chair and punch that idiot in the face. Luckily, my professor responded "No, I was thinking more of extreme shyness or other disabilities". It is good to know my professor is aware of incel and sex starved men, but it was troubling to see how clueless my classmates are. They just dont get it! It is astounding how ignorant people are, just astounding. Also, its clear that this society has zero empathy for men, especially lonely men. This society is way past the point of no return.

Did nobody realize or mention that any man in a relationship is paying for it in non-finacial ways? Giving the woman a social boost, entertaining her, access to a social network she wants to join if she's trying to move up in the world. A lot of times a man serves as a crutch to a woman who drains the life away from him. Probably nobody in that setting would dare say it.
Such irony. Sociopathic men tend to move between relationships with ease, sometimes juggling many at once. Many go on to high places in business, entertainment and politics. Nobody realized that either?GoingAwol wrote:My professor, obviously puzzled by this said, "Isn't there also a chance that there are some men who have trouble forming relationships who would benefit from prostitution, perhaps? I was a student many years ago, sounds like things have only gone downhill, not that they were good back then. Glad to see you've got your eyes open though.GoingAwol wrote: It is good to know my professor is aware of incel and sex starved men, but it was troubling to see how clueless my classmates are. Don't expect the masses of students to be anything more than brain-washed idiots with blue-pill programming. They are not independent thinkers but sheep who are ready to be slaughtered. While they completely ignore the men's side of things, they are getting crushed under student loan debt. Only in their 40's do they slightly wake up when what they have sown has come home to roost and they wake up. Few really do wake up.GoingAwol wrote:My professor had the class discuss prostitution today, and I just kept my mouth closed and listened to the sheer stupidity of my classmates. I understand your anger, but you cannot turn a fool into a wise man. These people are living in darkness, happily putting the noose around their own necks. Surely they follow the crowd and because of that, you can see the next 10-20-30 years of their future. Its bleak.

People can only think along the lines they're told. They just hold the opinion they were given. They didn't actively think it out. They are just following society's script. Don't hold it against them. The only way they could know about incels is if they were incel or knew someone who was (and they love that person).
Your professor may have been attempting to wake people up to the possibility. Actually, there is no doubt in my mind that the professor was trying to enlighten the students the same way you want to. Just as the professor, things must be approached delicately and tactfully without outright saying what needs to be said. They must be coaxed towards the proper direction, not outright told what to do. Usually professors would just tell you what to think, but this matter is too delicate for that.

A good man is above pettiness. He is better than that.

I always find it funny when American schools try to have a serious discussion about anything. Most of the populace blindly accepts popular opinions anyway, so you'll only get canned, "acceptable" talking points. Meaning, there's no point in having the discussion at all.
Re: My Sociology class had a discussion on prostitution toda
The funny thing is, prostitution is legal in almost every country in world, the US is one of the few countries where it's illegal. Most people in America think prostitution is legal in only a few countries. Then again, most Americans are clueless about what is going on in the rest of the world.
"When I think about the idea of getting involved with an American woman, I don't know if I should laugh .............. or vomit!"
"Trying to meet women in America is like trying to decipher Egyptian hieroglyphics."

Re: My Sociology class had a discussion on prostitution toda
I spent a short time working in academia. Until a few years ago I would go back and give courses as an invited lecturer from industry to a post-grad programme. The atmosphere on campuses has always been a shocker. The liberalism makes you want to puke. After finishing my M I was over the moon to not be a student anymore.
I did the army before varsity, and I couldn't relate to anyone there. Whiny bunch. When given assignments they would whine and moan instead of saying yes sir and carry on with it. It would have been even worse if I did Arts or something instead of sciences and engineering. I felt a generation older than them, while in fact I was only 2 years older. I they talked to me I would just say I didn't talk to you so please don't talk to me. It was shocking to see them having End Conscription Campaign demonstrations, when it was conscripts which kept them safe and terrorism at bay. Besides, they are on student exemptions! And the ECC was led by jews, who didn't even have to go to the border. Jews were considered honorary whites and had to serve in the army, but not in combat arms. They got jobs on the newspapers, finance, personnel etc. Chinese were also honorary whites with all the rights of whites, could live in white areas etc, but didn't have to go to the army. WTF. The anger builds up inside when you see them protesting like that, when far better men than any of them were going. I was mostly friends with the riot police confronting these riots as I used to play rugby for police back then (and not for the university), and would take my meals at the police canteen, and drink at their club. It didn't go down well with the students either that i was associated with the apartheid police. fark them. I had absolutely nothing in common with students. We were world apart.
Sociology? I would really puke. Must be full of queers, feminists, libtards and the assorted dross of society.

Re: My Sociology class had a discussion on prostitution toda
I remember about 10 years ago when i was taking my post graduate classes at the university. I was one of 3 males within a 50 student class. We had this Asian liberal teacher (a white knight family man who worked 70 hours a week to support his stay at home wife) who would always tell the female students in class how unfair America was to the female gender and how women only make 77 cents compared to a dollar for men. Even back then I had a fair amount of traveling under my belt (lived in Brazil and Costa Rica) and saw how these machismo societies treated women as second hand citizens. I explained how most foreign women were treated far worse overseas compared to American women and how the US is one of the few countries that imposes unfair child support payments on a man and how women recive the overwhelming majority of alimony payments. You could feel the anger and the tension in the room from all the man hating feminists as i was spreading information that went against the feminist agenda.
You can work your life away or you can live your life away
