Girls with lots of "Friends"

It has always bothered me how girls have large circles of people they call "friends". This has totally replaced family. Think about any 25-year-old AW. Does she care more about her "friends" or starting a family? If you're on the west coast you know the answer.

It especially bothers me because girls have all the advantages when it comes to "friends". They expend endless energy into expanding their social circles (because they have zero concern for their future), and for some weird reason that seems to fuel them. I find it exhausting. No, that does not mean I am an "introvert" (non-gay American male with an IQ over 110) it means I don't constantly have people kissing my ass and it's hard work.

Women can openly talk about all her "friends". This is like a man openly talking about all his "f**k buddies" and being praised for it.

"Friends" have completely replaced family, in one generation. Has anyone else noticed this?
