I remember Heavy D as being a good rapper that didn't promote violence and didn't use so much profanity in his songs. He was just an old school rapper. As a kid, I liked Run DMC, KRS-One, A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul and other 80s rappers. I hate the gangster rap of today. In fact, music of all genres suck today. That's why I only listen to 80s and 90s music.

Oh you're onto that too. Yeah all my boys have been saying that shit. And they also said to me that I shouldn't say any names. Just expect it.Contrarian Expatriate wrote:Conventional wisdom says that high-profile deaths "come in threes," so expect another death very shortly.

Rap entertainers and musicians often die young.
Why? Because:
• They spend years staying out late at night in the smoke filled clubs or out in the street preforming and having fun. For these workers its sleep all day and be out all night. It's not good because your body secretes different hormones at night, so if your up and awake at night your body can't repair itself and get the said hormones that regulate bodily functions.
• They often use drugs (i.e., cocaine, E)
• They abuse alcohol
• They don't workout or stay fit (LL cool J is an exception)
• They eat the crap food while they're on the road doing tours. Well, back in the day it wasn't so bad, but today you have cloned meat, high sugar drinks, and nutritionally deficient food being served.
• Being around loud music and all the electronic equipment is not healthy for your body over the long term. At the very least many musicians have bad hearing, they go deaf, or they have a constant ring in their ears at very young ages. On a side note, this is why I gave up car audio.....
Anyhow, I was taken back from Gangstarr and his passing due to cancer.

Rick Ross was having bad seizures a few weeks ago. Not that I care about the dude (his music SUCKS!) but if he does not chill out and retire he's going to have problems.Contrarian Expatriate wrote:Conventional wisdom says that high-profile deaths "come in threes," so expect another death very shortly.
