Why do counter-culture movements think America is the world?
Why do counter-culture movements think America is the world?
Have any of you others here who follow conspiracy movements, alternative research information or counter-culture movements noticed that even though these movements are all supposed to stand for "freethinking", they all see America as "the world" in that all the problems, conspiracies and messes that they detail about America are also applied to the world? In fact, they use the word "America" and "the world" interchangeably a lot.
Why do they never distinguish the problems America has that other countries don't, such as the ice barrier in America, the isolation, the "every man is an island" fact, and the lack of human connection, fake artificial greetings, most not knowing their neighbors, etc? Instead, all of America's problems are portrayed as the world's problems. No line is drawn between America or the world nor are any comparisons drawn that show advantages in other countries.
Why is that? Shouldn't the freethinking intellectual leaders of these movements, who are supposed to be champions of truth and debunkers of propaganda, be able to tell the difference between America and the world? They are so smart and insightful, so why don't they see the obvious truths that we do? For example, the "there is no human connection in America" is the most basic and elementary core truth about US society. Yet no one except us mentions it publicly. Isn't that odd or what?
Even my favorite revolutionary movement, Zeitgeist, which has the most brilliant documentaries that are consciousness-transforming that I've ever seen, does this too.
Why are we the ONLY counter culture movement that draws the distinctions?

The answer is easy and brief- they are not travelers and grew up in America and "America is the world" is something hard to get out of your blood unless you have an outsider's perspective which they do not. You for one had Taiwan to compare America to and immigrant parents. I had a few other countries. Most people do not. Even the counter culturalists.
A brain is a terrible thing to wash!

I have noticed this as well. Liberal Democrats, Environmentalists, Feminists - all are the MOST intolerant, closed-minded, narrow-minded, controlling, fascistic, judgmental group of Americans that exist. People think Conservatives are controlling intolerant assholes - WRONG!
It's the Liberals in America that are the most egregious offenders of that behaviour.
Feminists have a very USA-centric view of the world. They have to, to be the cultural imperialists that they are, wanting to spread Feminism to every country on the globe.
Just look at what they say when you tell them you prefer to date foreign women:
"That's because they don't know any better..."
How arrogant and condescending can one be? I tell this to feminists that the other 3 billion women on the planet know what they think of them and the FW do NOT like this one bit. Who would?

Feminist are arrogant and condescending (they think, "why would any man in the USA want to date a foreign woman, when American women are the best women on the planet.") So men in the US are only supposed to date fat, ugly, angry American women? WTF? No thanks, how about men traveling overseas to meet nice, friendly, loving and kind foreign women. American women truely are the most UNDESIREABLE women on planet earth!

-phile
one that loves, likes, or is attracted to.
A "Russophile" can be defined as a person who is attracted to Russian culture, language, people, "Russian world view", etc. But if he's only there to get laid and has no other interest, then he's a sex tourist.
Following the same example, someone who is an "Europhile" is a person who is attracted to European culture, lifestyle, people, way of thinking, and "European world view".
Where the word -phile is not used, is when the person is born and live in the country. i.e. someone who is born in the US and takes an "US world view" is not an American-phile. But if he's born in the US and is more attracted to European culture and world view, then he is an Europhile.

But some of the leaders are though. Do you know Noam Chomsky? He is one of the greatest intellectuals in the world and exposes the elite. He gets interviewed a lot in Europe. So he must have traveled a lot. He mentions lots of evils about US foreign policy, but he never mentions that people are friendlier or more inclusive abroad. Why? Maybe he doesn't want to alienate his liberal feminist fans? lolladislav wrote:The answer is easy and brief- they are not travelers and grew up in America and "America is the world" is something hard to get out of your blood unless you have an outsider's perspective which they do not. When I spoke about counter culture movements, I wasn't talking about feminists or liberals, as defined by the media. I am talking about revolutionary movements that villify the media, government, secret societies, expose the Federal Reserve as privately owned and above the law, etc. The folks who follow Alex Jones, David Icke, Zeitgeist Movement, the 9/11 Truth Movement, and many others. These are the movements and leaders that the corporate media does not dare cover unless they wish to ridicule them.globetrotter wrote:I have noticed this as well. Did you guys know this terrible secret, that the Federal Reserve is above the law, accountable to no one, and not even part of the government? This means that the control of the US money supply is in PRIVATE hands and unaccountable. Many experts and intellectuals know this, but the mainstream media never tells you this. The mainstream media won't even cover the Bilderberg meetings that occur every year. That means that the elite that attend Bilderberg must have power and ownership over the media and can order them not to cover this secret annual meeting.

Chomsky is a dissident intellectual, but that doesn't mean he's going to have insight into what we see. He's mostly a critic of US foreign policy, not lifestyles or social norms. He might actually be one of those people who aren't friendly or inclusive. Even outsiders are like that.Winston wrote: But some of the leaders are though. Do you know Noam Chomsky? its simple
If they did mention it without substance (even though we know its a fact) it would throw things out of balance in the society's mind because they have all been conditioned to think America is the best place on Earth and their goal is to down grade the rest of the world when compared to America so i guess it would do a person more harm than good to spread the truth...He would definatly be out of business or lose a large amount of fans for even thinking that...To americans the US is number one in the world and to Americans there is no such thing as easier abroad...i feel sorry for them to stagnate in such a way.
