This guy read your article on Asian mentality and here is what he says:

I don't really like the happier abroard guy. He's basically attacking the society's members for not being as degenerate and chaotic as himself which brings the basic element of I'm not like the other Taiwanese to the fore.

In the process he constructs what must be a caricature, exaggerating traits that are relatively emphasised in Taiwan but which are in conflict with his own unpleasant nature until it is easy for him to avoid having to question the wholesomeness of his own character because the society is 'wrong' and he's the radical subversive that has an imaginery kinship with those over the sea on the basis of comparing his caricature with a real society.

No I'm not being puritanical, it's that much of the article is written from a perspective that is basically degenerate in so many ways. The article is long so it will take a long time to quote the correct explain precisely what I mean when I say Winston Wu harbours degenerate attitudes. So I will have to split it up into Theology part and analysis part.

The Bible does not show God to be bloodthirsty. A bloodthirsty being is a being that delights in and craves bloodshed, while the God in the bible is actually mentioned as being sickened by the blood and fat of the animals slaughtered in his name.

What God is revealed as being is what one might broadly call ruthless. But that is not the same as being bloodthirsty. A surgeon might cut off the diseased limb of a patient in order to save his life, but that does not make the surgeon bloodthirsty. What is revealed in the Bible is a God that is greatly merciful and reluctant to kill and the drastic nature of the few examples when God kills large numbers of people are due to the fact that God in his mercy had previously allowed the population to degenerate to a very great extent presumably for a long time.

When he destroys Sodom&Gommorah for instance he says that he would not destroy the place if he found any righteous men living there. It is only when they threw out the last righteous man (Lot) as a result of their trying to rape the male angels which god had sent that they were destroyed. What is revealed then is that God is extremely reluctant to punish evildoers harshly; he is not bloodthirsty nor quick to anger. But when continued degeneration of a people or a person happens then eventually God strikes and when he does he is almost utterly ruthless and merciless.

And there is also the question of how showing mercy is also ruthless and not really arguably merciful at all. To spare Sodom from fiery destruction might sound merciful and kind; but what about Sodom's victims? What about the angels, Lot's daughters and Lot himself together with countless others they would all have been raped and perhaps even killed had the Sodomites been shown 'mercy and been allowed to continue to freely pursue their corrupt wills. Who do think you are to condemn God for not placing the lives of a few thousand people above those of an effectively infinite number of victims?

The Raels are wrong. A cursory glance at the kind of people that start most the wars in history would show that they are usually extremely wealthy men; men who have often had exclusive access to entire armies of women, the best clothes, the best food and drink, the most comfortable dwellings, the prettiest art, the best music, the most interesting games, fame, social status and obviously power. They are people whose sensual desires are quite excessively satisfied.

And people who are used to getting everything they want are extremely likely to resort to violence, afterall how is a person that has always got everything they wanted going to react when suddenly what they want is denied to them? In that respect we can see that those that are often 'frustrated' are most likely to be able to come with frustration and so are not going to immediately resort to needless aggression violence against those whom they percieve as the source of their frustation.

Those who are accustomed to 'frustrating' themselves on the basis of some moral criteria rather than being merely frustrated are the least likely to resort to violence precisely because they understand that hurting others is wrong and they are used to denying their desires for moral reasons. But such people make good slaves; that is why Politicians and the Church might promote such values.

But of course such people in their enslaved self-sacrificing state merely heap things of desire for those who have power over them, thus any increase in the total frustration of the many merely indulges the desires of the powerful few and so has no real effect on making the world less violent.

Winston starts off with a barrage of racism, replete with an obnoxious dehumanisation by which the cultural/racial group being studied is treated as a set of zombies incapable of independant thought rather than a group of people who are in general agreement as to set of values that Winston happens not to completely agree with.

Once again Winston commits the fallacy of the average man. He Winston isn't the average man, but nobody is the average man. He sets up an average Asian man that has all sorts of traits that Winston casts against his own. So the fact that they aren't in any great hurry to throw themselves onto any random stranger means that they are prudish and anti-sex? Because Mr. I Want To Get Laid is just that, a random stranger. The mere fact he's wandering about eying up the locals does not mean that the locals are under any obligation to indulge his desires.

And maybe the reason they are so 'uncomfortable and frightened' is because they know exactly the kind of person you are and what you think of them? That is a degenerate pervert.

So these people work hard, but not simply because they are greedy for wealth, they are expected to work even if they are already rich. They are allowed to have fun, but not to excess as that would make them lazy and unproductive. Let's compile the Winstonian counter-values.

1. The purpose of life is to be a 'virtuous' leech that sponges off others.
2. Once you have money working is pointless as society exists to be sponged off as per value 1 .
3. Maximum pleasure for minimum effort, indeed why bother getting out of bed in the morning at all when you can just bring in your Phillapino prostitutes?
4. Total freedom to be as degenerate as you like.

Thus, their character and attitude, particularly toward dealing with stress and obstacles, seems far more Buddhist-like than Christian-like.


Finally some reference to Phillipino's other than prostitutes.

All I can say at this point is that the infection is always happy when the immune system is weak. The Taiwanese for whatever faults they may actually have have a pretty formidable set of defenses that makes life for his kind rather hard. He is happier in the Phillipines because it's a place he can exploit more easily as it is more tolerant. This propensity to exploit others is rather shown by his ringing applause for Sex-Disneyland earlier for it's 'cheap' girls.

If I'm an degenerate anti-social leech, I consequently have a pretty low view of judgement because I cannot justify myself to society in any sense so the only way to escape condemnation is to banish judgement.

Here we have intellectual, sexual and social degeneracy combined in a sickening couple of paragraphs the vileness of which pretty much sums up the entire droning rant.

Here's a man who upon hearing actual reports of 'sexual prowess' in Taiwanese women from people who have actually managed to form relationships with said women and sleep with them (evidently something he's not done) instead decides to go with his mere speculation as to what they would be like. (the intellectual degeneracy part)

He expresses a distaste for successful relationships that result in marraige by his scorn at them marrying their first or second partner, seemingly preferring promiscuity and instability: as if he actually wants relationships to break up a lot. (the sexual degeneracy part)

And then he proceeds to refer to what is clearly a desirable state of affairs as being 'progressive and open' as if divorce and relationship breakdown, heart-break, sexual exploitation; heck STD's and unwanted children thrown in for good measure were a measure of progress rather than degeneration. (the social degeneracy part)

I doubt that Taiwan is utopia and that everything Winston says is false but I am disinclined to take a person with such an unpleasant set of degenerate values seriously. This is a man who compares the women of an entire country against a brothel, who engages in the most crude racist stereotyping based upon a utter disregard for the fact that THERE IS NO AVERAGE MAN; meaning that all cultural comparisons are purely relative.

Instead of making a valid cultural comparison, that is a detailed comparison of two cultures and how they function he makes a completely lopsided analysis where the culture is compared against himself, as if he were a culture by himself!

In effect then, the near-total lack of the words less-than and more-than make this article a vile, obnoxious rant rather than a serious study.
