Having zero luck on hospitality club
I heard about hospitality club through the HA podcasts, and recently I joined HC. I'm planning on going back to El Paso, Texas at the end of this month and wanting to spend a couple to three weeks down there. I messages two people on HC about my trip...and NO RESPONSE from anyone. WTF? Is HC all a joke or something?

Re: Having zero luck on hospitality club
No not a joke. I stayed at many hosts places on HC. However, if you are new you need to be vouched for, because you have zero feedback on your profile and when people see that, they won't feel comfortable hosting you. You need to have a friend or two give you some positive feedback on your profile first, before hosts will accept you. Also the hosts are not obligated to accept you. They only accept if they like you and get a good vibe from your profile and pics or have free time. Also, HC is not as popular in the US as in Europe. The US hosts are more wary, especially the women. You are more likely to get male hosts, or hosts by families.
