Why do men have to do all the work when it comes to dating?

Why is it that men have to always do all the work when it comes to dating? It is really frustrating me. Men have to pursue a woman, impress her, get her phone number, have to drive a fancy car, be rich, be popular, be attractive, have six pack abs, be interesting, confident, have to deal with rejections, must have a game, etc. But it seems like women don't have to do anything other than dress and put on make up. Even ugly women can put on make up and they would still have guys asking them out. Why do males have to take PUA classes while women can sit on their fat asses and not do anything and still get men? It is so unfair. What happened to equality? Basically women want to be equal to men but they never approach men and still expect men to make the first moves. Can you imagine how good it would feel like if women actually started asking men out? We can only fantasize about that one unfortunately.

Well, a fleshed out explanation could take a while. But here's the short of it.

When it comes to biology, women possess a limited number of reproductive chances. Something like 400 ova per lifetime. Men produce sperm by something like millions of cells per minute. Men have unlimited demand for something women have a limited number of. Men will always chase women for at least this reason.

Now, normally, women would have some reason to pursue men as well. They have limited reproductive capacity, but still want to use some of it. But when they do, they need resources because they bear the brunt of gestation and childbirth. They seek out "alphas" (in quotes because what is considered alpha can change) for genes, and betas for resources.

Here's where society comes in.

Traditional, monogamous society: One man, one woman. Men may have hoes, but women must stay chaste until marriage and thereafter be faithful to her husband. Women still choose men, as they always will, but they are guided well and strongly influenced to make good choices. She can still choose to be a slut, but she will live with the consequences. No nanny state to bail her out.

Feminist society: Woman can do whatever, and men are weakened, and will chase women incessantly. "Alphas" are typically thug types and they do fine. Aggressive, socipathic alpha types will often still do well. Looks largely don't matter for them, but "sexy" men are alphas too, if not in personality.

Betas are taxed by the state. The state becomes surrogate husband and father to the feminist women. The beta is therefore forced to subsidize the female. Therefore, the female hates the beta in feminist society. He is no longer a good choice because why settle for a "non-hot guy" when she still gets his resources? She can seek out "alphas" for genes and get the beta's resources for free, courtesy of the government.

Men will always chase women, but in feminist societies, the balance is broken and the women only pursue the top men.

You are clearly defining what an American woman is, which to me is the most undesirable woman in the world. Things are a lot different in other countries. This is why I'm going to start doing more dating abroad. I'm sick of the nonsense out here, I really am.

I am about to point out that terminator and Ghost are right about English-speaking foreigners influenced by the feminist West...just not necessarily.

To illustrate my point, nearly everyone here in Malaysia can speak English - and those who don't can still at least understand by listening. However their English (including mine when spoken) is choppy and accent-thick as best. There is almost no incentive for us to become even more fluent than that.

For a Malaysian female to achieve near-native fluency in English therefore it must be either from A)Many, many years of strict dedication of mastering the language (English language teachers in school), B) the demands of her profession (as a journalist or a book author) or, most dreadfully.....C) from a few years of staying in the West.

Normally one shouldn't be too alert when a Malaysian girl speaks English a little too well. She's probably from Case A or B. BUT....if she's topping it off with a mimicked Anglophone accent (what we Malaysians here love to term as "speaking London").....bail. You have just come across a whitewashed Asian returning home and importing all the horrible feminist values that come with it.

Yes, I agree. I see women who are moribidly obese dating guys who are in shape. I also see women who are as ugly as sin dating guys who are good looking!

It would be awesome to live in a country where women asked men out, or at least flirted with men. Here in the US, women ignore men and act like men don't exist!

I want to point something out -- i agree with what has been said -- but with 200 countries to explore -- not all the women have the "AW" mentality. Canada-England-USA-Australia are the worst. Anywhere else and you do have a better chance with women--trust me--even England is SLIGHTLY better than the USA. SLIGHTLY. In the USA everything has been turned upside down--and--if i hear one more woman gush over dancing with the stars -- i will puke. Just got back from Great Britain--and golly gee--a woman flirted with me bigtime. I was stunned.

women in other countries will flirt with you and pursue you depending on these factors ( from what i noticed ):

1. skin color ( yes; your skin tone helps attract women)
2. beauty ( are you average looking, handsome, beautiful male)
3. sometimes income ( americans are still percieved to have a good income world wide)

i have had japanese women flirt with me in japan, i have had a russian woman pursue me, and i have had a mexican lady rub her butt up against mine.

ask the others about filipina's they are very very aggressive with flirting and pursuing.

there is definitely hope for you yet my friend.
