Job interviews in public.. WTF??

So last week I was invited for an interview at this one place where I applied last month. I really don't want to disclose the company and the place. All I'm going to say that it's a correctional institution. Basically the HR lady was going to interview me in a hallway with inmates and prison guards walking by and in the area within earshot, until some other person interrupted us and gave her the key to the conference room. I was like REALLY?
What kind of f***ing bullcrap is this? I mean seriously. How are you going to interview someone and talk about all their personal traits and background with all these asshole inmates in the area. Not like there's any kind of politics or confidentiality involved here. Honestly, WTF??

Now a while back I applied at Wal-Mart and was also invited for an interview. The lady conducting the interview decided to do it in a crowded ass break room full of employees. I mean seriously... how freaking stupid and incompetent do you have to be?

What in the f*cking world is wrong with these people? Have they never heard of the Privacy Act of 1974? How are you going to interview someone in public like that and put all their shit out there for everybody to judge you and shit?

Has anyone experienced anything similar? Can anyone share any thoughts or maybe some legal advice on this??
