Despite the controversial title, this is not one for the NSFW section. It's the actual name of the documentary piece as per video below
I remember when I was a pre-teen, 11 or 12. We would spent long, boring, scorching hot summer days patrolling the sides of some countryside roads that we knew were frequented by prostitutes during the night. It was late 80s, with no mobiles, no Internet and no social networks. The valuable piece of intelligence we had was that, apart from used condoms and kleenex, there was a real chance to find a few pages torn off porn magazines, the kind of stuff none of us would ever be able to buy from a newsagents, no matter how brave and brazen-face we could be. That was because, in the town I was born in, everybody knew everybody and, together with a straight refusal, the risk was real that the newsagent would tell our parents.
And we such material we did find, even a single soggy and dusty, ripped up wrinkled page showing some actual action, we would be ecstatic. The actual contents wasn't really what made us happy, but the fact itself that, for one rare moment, we would get to peek into the closed door of "what adults do", unseen, unscathed, and un-guilty. I really never learned about sex for good until I was about 14, and my first kiss at 16 had the power of an atomic bomb on the virgin territory of my fantasies. I still revel in those innocent memories because they carried magic, mystery and emotion.
Fast forward now, in the full HD1080, fiber broadband generation and the kids speaking in the video above are absolutely right. Pornography of any kind is slapped on everybody's face at the click of a mouse, or mobile screen. Parental control is impossible and the natural progression of excitement, mystery, deceiving myths and disappointing reality is all but shattered by the "all of it, right here, right now" experience. And as far as I can see,if it's not about porn proper, it's about one of the many corollaries of it: RnB, rap and sex-charged pop, egging each other up on social media, going from kiss to BJ to gangbang in the space of a few Tinder swipes...it's quite terrifying even for a relatively open-minded person like me.
One really has to thank the Filipino government for keeping their Internet infrastructure so prehistoric slow, and data plan prices so outrageously expensive. At least sexting in Taglish has a flavour that's more how I did it, then how they do it.

The culture is worse in the US than it is in Europe.publicduende wrote:Despite the controversial title, this is not one for the NSFW section. It's the actual name of the documentary piece as per video below

I think it's because of the helicopter parenting.
The parents pretend to care; they really don't until the problem is so big that their daughter is pregnant at 16.
Even here in Germany which is pretty sexually open they don't make this such a big deal.

Interesting.

"Well actually, she's not REALLY my daughter. But she does like to call me Daddy... at certain moments..."
Re: p**n before puberty
i suspect a whole generation of males will end up with porn induced erectile dysfunction much earlier on in life, due to excessive porn use. It's can be quite a difficult habit to control/kick.
