So I am trying to verify my phone number on Airbnb, and every time I put my phone number in, I get this error message: "Sorry, we cannot send verification code to this number. Please make sure you input the correct mobile number." Ugh.. It IS the correct mobile number. So I SHOULD NOT be getting this stupid error message. AIRBNB IS A TOTAL JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!

AirBNB doesn't seem to offer any savings or benefits, i don't understand why you would be using it?
Never seen anything for under $50 a night in there.
I always find nice rooms for $20-30 in Booking or similar. Or just by looking around and walking up.

I used airbnb for my 7-month Europe trip in 2014. Out of eight hosts, three were total jackasses, and I spent at least three weeks renting from each of them. While the other five were fine, that's three too many, and I'll never use the service again, especially given that, as someone here said, the prices now really aren't any cheaper than hotels in any given locale.

By the way, does anyone know why I was banned -- permanently, without any stated reason or even notification? Just logged in, clicked on a topic and was told to go away. Got no response from that renowned disciple of free speech Winnie the Wu when I asked why. GSJackson, I'm sure yr banning was some sorta technical glitch, mybe a blanket ban of certain ips which caught you too by mistake. I've already messaged him about it.

I don't know anyone who permanently banned you. When you logged in, did it say your username was banned or your IP was banned? I will check the ban panel now. Ok I don't see you on the ban list. If your IP was banned, how did you get back here with another username? If you have a different IP, have you tried logging in on your original username? You wanna PM me your IP so I can check if it's been banned?
