What Started Hypermak’s Unhinged Flame War Against Me?

A couple of posters have been messaging me asking what the deal is with @Hypermak's incessant and obsessive flame posts. Since it’s been going on for so long many might not know.

It all started when I posted my well known opposition to marriage and why men should avoid it. Hypermak was LIVID at that notion and literally went crazy as if his entire world was completely destroyed. After noticing his reaction was rather outsized, I finally wrote if he wanted to get married than he should go ahead but be prepared to deal with the consequences. That did not work, in fact it made him even more angry.

From then on he started trolling my comments in almost all other threads. As soon as I started hitting him back harder than he could hit me, he just lost all control and started this flame war. So it went from, “How could you be against marriage?,” to “You’re selfish and you only have yourself to care for!” to “You’re old so you’re going to die alone!” to “I don’t believe your successful!” to “I I don’t believe you’re wealthy!” to “You’re paying girls for sex!” to “Everything you post about yourself is a tall tale!” and the list goes on and on.

Granted, I have been around long enough to understand that narcissistic rage can occur in Cluster B personality disordered individuals when your person views simply differ from theirs, but this was a special case indeed.

Every time I posted in serious discussions, Hypermak began and creating conflict and drama. It literally is as if he is addicted to it. I later learned this is what is called narcissistic supply and it is the attention narcissists feed upon. Even NEGATIVE attention can narcissistic supply for these types and they push and provoke to get it to fill up that missing excitement in their lives.

I encourage you to go see the beginning of it all in my anti-marriage, my Girlfriend Allowance and Sugar Dating threads. If nothing else, it has entertainment value.

Now, do I have some culpability in provoking this unhinged, troubled soul? Yes, I do. I actually enjoyed sticking him where it hurts and exploiting his deep insecurities thinking he would eventually back off from a battered ego. Instead, it wound him up more and I became an obsession of his. He combs through everything I posted, he reads every thread, he writes paragraphs and paragraphs of invective which I don’t even read.

What he never seemed to understand is that his insults NEVER faze me. I am impervious to them and this frustrates him so he keeps trying even harder to offend me yet it never seems to work, hence his tireless campaign to troll me.

I kind of feel that he is in competition with me so he feels the need to discredit, accuse, invalidate, and cut down what I post. Whatever I post, he’ll post the opposite just to troll. Whatever I advocate, he’ll post an opposing view. I had no idea that I would occupy so much real estate in his head.

But don’t believe him when he tries to play the victim. I post maybe 25% of what he posts to me. He has a need for this while I simply enjoy frustrating him like a feeble kitten swatting at a dangle toy.

Again, I do have some culpability for having fun at the expense of his mental health, but he began the flame war and is now complaining about being flamed. Go figure.

I still like to post interesting topics here, but I want you to watch how Hypermak has to “I disagree” troll everything I post which means he wants this to continue. Despite his impeccable command of English, I don’t think he is particularly intelligent. He is 100% CONVENTIONAL in his thinking and outlook on life. He has this undying need to engage my every opinion and position on things but as many people know, I no longer debate idiots because an idiot can never comprehend where you are coming from and they will think THEY are the brilliant one.

Yes, he is annoying and I guess I could just ignore him. But having fun driving him into a demented frenzy has been a guilty pleasure of late. If you all only knew the roaring laughter I have had at his expense....

But again, don’t believe his victim narrative. He’s my personal troll here and perhaps I will just point it out instances further of it for those stupid enough to miss it.

I do want to mention that @Winston had a role to play in goading him on. Periodically, Winston would write, "CE why are you so hard on Hypermak?" Hypermak usually thanks him for taking "his side" and proceeds to go on weeks of a tear thinking that he has Winston's support for it. Winston does like to have a little drama on the board I have noticed, and that's fine, but goading this one on was a huge mistake that just keeps on giving.

So there you have it. That is the evolution of Hypermak's ire against me here. Yes, I might have smacked him a bit too hard at times, but I agree that it has gotten to be too much. I prefer contributing thought-provoking as I did before he came on this forum to do little more than disrupt.

I like CE's posts but the OP is a let down from him.

I am going to appeal to his intellect and ask him to go back about posting interesting stuff, obviously if he writes the above then whatever Hypermak is writing or doing is bothering him. What he needs to realise is that Hypermak is a normal dude who he is never going to meet (and the same way around as well...) and forget about him.

There's only five of us left on here that are actually expats, probably not even that amount. Lets get back to talking about interesting stuff. I don't want CE to think this is a personal pop at him but he has let himself down with this piece, just my opinion.
