Feminists love using the word rape as a weapon.
I admit I am a recovering male feminist. There used to be a time I would have fought for whatever cause they wanted under the false notion of "equality" . Now feminism is a bad word to me, poisoned by gender ideologues. My support for feminism eroded after I started a career in massage therapy. Let me be clear - I am a sports therapist and I started this because I love basketball. Ideally I would be working on athletes and sometimes I do. But mostly I am working on women. Sadly, if I tell people I am a massage therapist anywhere outside of Massage Envy they assume I got into this line of work to molest women. The fact is massage therapy is a woman's thing. Even the men who get on my table only came to me because their wife recommended them to come see me. I would like to be working on Lebron James or to a lesser extent college ball players but I am at Massage Envy and I have achieved some measure of success. I work on whoever comes through the door be it Chuck Norris or the Queen of England so stop making massage therapy about sex. Before my current job I had two full-time jobs that were barely bringing anything in because I was in an area where people didn't care about what we do. Or had a bias against men in general with that same awful stereotype against us based on nothing more than you're a man and you chose massage therapy as a career. Yeah, there are 200 reported cases of sexual abuse against male therapists, all allegedly happening behind closed doors and we cannot possibly speak with any certainty about any of them. But tell a feminist that and she says "You're a misogynist! You don't care that women are raped!" Men are also raped, particularly in prison, and are sentenced to 63% more time than women. They don't talk about their experiences because society sees prison rape as a joke. My support for feminism eroded because they don't want to help me as much as I used to want to help them. The female friends that I have do not hold me responsible for my entire gender.
