I have often heard the term "blonds have more fun" but have no idea where this originated from (probably from Hollywood). How about the phrase, "gentlemen prefer blonds" where did that come from? I have also heard the phrase, "blonds have more fun but brunettes get it done." I do prefer women with blond hair, especially if they look like the ladies below:

It was a TV commercial a long time ago, and I believe it was to sell hair dye. I could remember everyone discussing it at the time and starting to believe it. The tune for the commercial is still in my memory. It shows the power of Madison Avenue brainwashing that the notion of blondes having more fun is now part of our culture and people actually believe it - and tons of women dye their hair blond.
Judging from the pictures, I could totally understand how the phrase came to be credible!

I have read into this myself and it is fact that blondes DO get more attention from men. This is why so many women these days dye their hair blonde.
I also think there is some truth to the stereotype of blondes being more stupid, but only in regards to Anglo women. This is even true for those who dye their hair blonde.
So why is this? Because if they have blonde hair, they are getting more male attention; thus less time and effort is devoted to an education. It is also a distraction from getting an education, especially at university/college.
For this reason alone, I prefer brunettes. There is usually less competition, plus they are more likely to have a higher level of education and intelligence.
