Effects of hard drugs, processed foods, and a life time of applying toxins on the skin (also known as facewash, sunblock, make up and anti-perspirant). Since the 90s America has the sickliest looking people on the planet. What others consider cardboard we consider food. What they consider food we consider gross, unsafe, fattening or expensive.

Just look at the US goobermint's recent attempts to shut and prosecute those farms trying to grow organic foods, unregulated by the FDA. When I tell the Italians about this, they are stunned. Practically everything we eat here comes straight from farmers, including wine, veggies, meat & sausages, etc. Italians are all about homemade, home-grown, and all natural/no preservatives. Granted the food can get a little bland by my American tastes, since I like spicy food and they don't.
