Lower IQ is associated with high music consumption

Post by galii »

Our findings indicate that less intelligent individuals make a higher use of music for experiencing strong sensations than more intelligent ones.

If anyone wants to read it and tell us about the instrument/test used to measure intelligence and how musical expertise moderated the effect please do so. My guess is some smart people who listen to a lot of music are experts.

I suspect some rap and hip-hop to be brain-draining style, especially dirty lyrics with repetitive beats.

They played 'music' in the gym the other day--a guy almost screaming in the mic--supposedly rapping g to a boring beat. It was off of someone's phone.

Exactly. All depends on the music type someone is listening.
I love to listen music during my work and i think that right music helps me to be even more effective. Yesterday i found a perfect urgent writing service https://lastminutewriting.com/ while listening my favorite band . The guys will help me with my studies and still be able to maintain normal sleep schedule.

I listen to a lot of music. I've got a lot of past trauma from being bullied that still affects me today and listening to music helps calm me down.
