It looks like I will soon inherit a modest amount of money. Since I already have enough savings to live for a year or two I plan to treat this as free money and invest it in high risk, high return stuff in the hopes of striking it rich. Does anyone have any investment advice?

Gold mining ETFs are also high risk/high reward. Buy the GDX or GDXJ ETF's which track gold mining stock indexes they are poised to soar after many years of languishing.

Had his specific question not been about high risk/high reward options, I might slightly agree with you. But crypto represents just what he was seeking and it has seemingly stabilized after what was a massive crash so this is a good time to start getting in incrementally.

There is an interview done by Greg Hunter with Bill Holter and Jim Sinclaire a few weeks back that made the point the entire system is fake and has no basis in reality as far as real markets go what so ever. The creditor class has created this with all it's money printing, I would buy silver for a safe bet and research energy, there are many many many technologies for generating power that are under raps and if the fraud of the banks is blown wide open which it probably will be there will be a reset in metals and energy and silver is required in practically all energy apps.

Look at the Gene Pax water car to get the idea of what is really going on or Stan Meyers, I think when the people who are running this counterfeiting con job lose control of this and the truth comes out and you are poised in metal and energy correctly you will be set like you have no idea. No I understand the crytos, I knew about them when they came out in 2009, you are right or I would have invested in them. Crytos just show how messed up todays investing and investors are. When people wake up if they do and realize your money needs to be tied to something real if you want honest makets they will go to their real value 0, considering how stupid the invetstors and markets are today with the ponzi central bank " Leverage " driving all this nonsense with everything based on paper promises to pay and that is real high risk and I see this con game coming to an end probably soon but I could be wrong.

Opinions like this are simply rationalizations for not being able to invest aggressively, it at all.

If you were really concerned with a credit crash, you'd be in precious metal stocks, bullion itself, and in various currency investments outside of the Western sphere of economic influence. The point the Chris Martenson video makes is the entire system is a PONZI. This is what socialism really is, what they tell you it is in the mainstream is a lie. UK stocks are cheap right now. Quality companies like Vodafone and WPP are yielding well over 6%. Brexit won't have a huge effect on these companies as they earn most of their income overseas.

Mind you I'm diversifying out of the UK and I like Brazilian bonds (9%) and Asian (mostly Thai) bonds paying 7.5%.

I've started buying tech stocks but my strategy is to go for the big ass yields and reinvest the profits in something else.

Digital currencies are all worthless so I wouldn't (and haven't) invested a single cent in them.
