I'd rather have a meteor impact North America and take out a large majority of continental America. Some of the trees would grow back and the wildlife eventually return without any fallout. The best thing we can hope is for the Cosmos to send a meteor annihilating much of America. Once that happens it collapses the entire world economy, sends the world into a Great Depression 100 times worse than the last, the global drop in temperature from atmospheric dust would cause some crop failure inducing famine, exports of food would stop thus starving the overpopulated nations especially in Africa and the Middle East. What's left of America wouldn't even be able to be called a superpower but a nation in crisis. Even all the nuclear silos would be inactive once the meteor crushes and collapses bunkers and all the weapons. Billions dead within one or two years. Far-right leaders would rise in most nations due to scarce resources. Gold and silver would be the main forms of wealth after currencies collapses and the banking sector was blasted back to the 1800s. Most major corporations based in America or founded in America would have also collapsed. Much better scenario than a nuclear war but the odds of the cosmos sending that meteor is just as low as god or the gods answering a prayer for destruction or asking nature to cause a massive San Andreas Fault Earthquake or Atlantic tsunami. Just not going happen because neither the cosmos, whatever supreme being or beings exist, or nature will send something to crush the evil that threatens the world. So I guess nuclear WWIII is the best option but I hope it doesn't happen until I am prepared to leave America and then castle myself abroad, to wait and watch the fireworks from safety in a bunker if I marry the Russian girl. America only has bunkers for the elites and the political elites. Shows which country cares about what. America doesn't care about its people, Russia does. Russia tries to better the world, America spreads chaos and destruction and death wherever it goes. It's too bad Europe and Japan and South Korea and numerous other countries are just American vassal states now instead of independent sovereign nations, otherwise they wouldn't be antagonizing Russia they would join Russia in pressuring America to back down and stop destroying everything and ruining the world.
