The divorce lawyers are rejoicing.

Gay marriage could be a good thing, when it comes to the the current f***ed up divorce/alimony laws in this country.

Women may hold all the power when it comes to divorce for heterosexual marriages. But how will divorce court handle divorce for marriages between two guys or two women? Who's going to get full custody of the children, and if both have similar income, who gets the assets? Maybe gay divorce will finally force the courts to implement more fair and equitable handling of division of assets and custody when it comes to divorce.

Of course, this is probably just wishful thinking on my part.
