How many of you are libertarian?

Post by zacb »

I have been lurking for a tad, and from what I have seen it seems like this forum is libertarian leaning. So how many people on here are? (I am for one)

Totally...at least as far as economics goes(Austrian School of economics)...which covers most everything...one of the reasons I am establishing residency in Chile, I do not think a US passport will be one I want to have too much longer...5 years residency in Chile and I can get a Chilean passport...half my time or more in Chile and the rest in the Philippines...Filipina wife and her family, especially her father, are very supportive, which makes all the difference for my wife.

I have some libertarian ideas and I voted Ron Paul in my primary, but my ideas are too complex to really call myself a libertarian. I believe in fiscal responsibility and limiting the power of government, but I also have some very altruistic ideas that involve the greater good and, thus, I reject the Randian philosophy of strict self-reliance.

I have some Libertarian leanings, but I depart from them on gay marriage and abortion. I go the conservative route on those issues.

In economics, I favor MINIMAL state meddling when necessary to preserve some vital interest or resource. Other than that, the markets should be left to do their things. No bailouts, no TARPS, no taxpayer indemnification.

My sentiments exactly, I am a conservative/libertarian. I am enthusiatically voting for Romney in November, I am hoping "hope and change" comes this November with a new president! :D

libertarian is closest political party that resonates with my freedom loving mindset. Ron paul and Gary Johnson are top tier politicians in my book...and very few politicians extract compliments from me.

Interesting thread - to see what unites HA members these days - all Libertarians and, well, "fellow travelers."

Guess I'm a fellow traveler. On the Libertarian side of the barricades for now. Till we win.

After we destroy the NWO - and the firing squads are done - we can work out our differences locally. Maybe county by county.

Here in Cali, I suggest we SoCals separate from potsmoking treehuggers in Northern Cali. They are the true Libertarians. Down here we will execute drug pushers and gangsters en masse. Up north they can have their laissez faire. f**k Northern CA. Go in peace, though. Not everyone down here agrees with me, but everyone who owns a gun does.

Not my wish but that's my prediction. The whole system will come crashing down. But one hopes it happens in a good way. Think globally, act locally. (A hippie once said that i think.) After all, out of the ruins of Rome - Venice merged.

Long live the Common Law, the Magna Carta, the Declaration, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. Viva Cristo Rey.

"Technique #4 - 'INFORMATION COLLECTION'

Information collection is also a very effective method to determine the psychological level of the forum members, and to gather intelligence that can be used against them. In this technique in a light and positive environment a 'show you mine so me yours' posting is initiated. From the number of replies and the answers that are provided much statistical information can be gathered. An example is to post your 'favourite weapon' and then encourage other members of the forum to showcase what they have. In this matter it can be determined by reverse proration what percentage of the forum community owns a firearm, and or a illegal weapon. This same method can be used by posing as one of the form members and posting your favourite 'technique of operation.' From the replies various methods that the group utilizes can be studied and effective methods developed to stop them from their activities."

Just a thought.

Sorry if I worded my question wrong. I genuinely could care less what people believe. Honestly I lean towards panarchism, but yeah. I would ask regardless of the community. So sorry for any yellow flags. Just liked to hear other peoples opinions. I understand how it could be misinterpreted. BTW where did you see that at?
