Good question, and you have some good theories. I think your first theory is the most important. If people's parents don't do their jobs right from the very start, then don't expect their grown up kids to become responsible adults. There are very few examples when a wealthy family produces children who grow up to be decent human beings. They are the exceptions. The bulk of them produce entitled morons that don't have any real skills in life. I think the media promotes that mindset into these young women that going for these dumb ass men is the way to go. Then she has her group of equally brainwashed friends that she socializes with to talk about the "hot guy" she met the other day which reinforces the brainwashing. Later on she will cry about it when he leaves her and asks the stupid question why there aren't any nice guys. How blind do you have to be to not see the leagues of nice guys that you rejected? It isn't until she hits her late twenties/early thirties that she finally wakes up to the madness. By then, it is pretty much too late for her because many hard working men have found websites like this one, and started learning the truth about things.Andrewww wrote:What do you guys think is the reason for this ?
I have my theories:
1.Their parents don't do their job. The middle class in the last 10-20 years has been shrinking. People are working more and more to keep up with a lifestyle based on buying as much useless crap as possible. This way they don't have time to sit down and instill more traditional values in their children. They just let them watch MTV all day.
2.A wealthier lifestyle creates entitled parasites. In poor countries women learn to cook at a young age because they cannot afford to eat fast food all day. They are very close to their families and they realize the value of having a family. They follow a survival instinct which makes them pursue men who can be providers. Douchebags who drink themselves to death and don't do anything productive are outcasts because they are too immature to raise a family. No decent woman would ever go out with someone like that.
I can't think of any other society in which hard working men are seen as "weak" or in which good guys are considered "boring". I have a friend who was a DJ for a while, he speaks 4 languages, he backpacked through Europe all by himself for a whole summer. He's far from being "boring" yet he can't find a decent woman to be around him. Meanwhile, dumb jocks who talk about football all day are always surrounded by equally dumb bimbos.

I see what you mean, but if you want to delve deeper into the sustaining wealth topic, then it could take me forever to talk about. The shortest version is as long as the economy doesn't tank, then these wealthy families can stay wealthy by making the right investments, have the right people working for them, and keep up with the changing times. They don't actually need their spoiled kids to help with that. Even if the kid inherits the business so to speak, then it would be unlikely that he or she would have the drive to actually run the business. They would probably leave that responsibility to the people that are doing the actual work, and the decision making will be left to the people "second in charge" per se. The kid goes out and parties day and night.abcdavid01 wrote:I get what you're saying, but I just always thought wealthier families were able to remain wealthy by passing along "wealth generating habits" to their children. @Teal Lantern
I didn't need Turkish to get around or order food. A lot of Turks speak English. I know some words but English was sufficient due to being in the touristy section, Sultanahmet. Now, for the trip report, yes, I've been wanting to do that but I've been busy with some things. I will definitely get to that. How much Turkish did you need in order to get around?
Does everything shut down for calls to prayer?
Trip Report!! Trip Report!!

Teal Lantern nothing shuts down during prayer, business is business.
Turk Women have golden hearts & they range in ethnicity, from olive skin blonds to persian looking beauties, and as Banano said; yes the men are very horny lol but are harmless.
Hey Renata. Good to see you back. Istanbul was AMAZING and, yes, I had a great time. But to answer your question, did any of the women associate me with chocolate? No. However, a lot of people thought I was Arab. I had people coming up to me speaking to me in Arabic. Walking through the spice bazaar many of the men would say Salaam Alaikum to me. While waiting to get a doner one day the man cooking them said, "you speak Arabic." I said no English. "Ah ok. And where are you from?" The U.S. New Jersey. Thanks for answering Teal Lantern's question about if everything shuts down for prayer.

Also, about intelligence: Many scientists now agree that humans have developed relatively high intelligence due to sexual selection. So naturally, brain power in men should attract women, and vice versa. So this does happen in most countries.
But not the US! This is where "nerdiness" and "geekiness" are not sexually attractive to many women, even in college! A smart guy in college will attract female classmates who will pester him about helping them with their homework, but at the end of the day, they all run off with the "cool" fashionable guys and the frat boys. This is always happening to me, and many guys I know.
The mass media has conditioned both American men and women to go after popular, fashionable people with swag, aka douchebags, while the intelligentsia remain lonely.

This is rare.abcdavid01 wrote:I get what you're saying, but I just always thought wealthier families were able to remain wealthy by passing along "wealth generating habits" to their children. Grooming an heir so to speak.
Brits used to do it through boarding schools and class prejudice and hard work. Chinese did it for centuries. Illuminati sort of do it, through terroristic training, brainwashing, and top schools etc.
But in everyday America, it is rare.
One guy is self-made.
His son gets "big rich".
His son spends it, saves the whales, etc.

Seen this since I was a kid in the 1960's. Foreigners (we were kind of foreign) valued intellectual achievement, grades, virtue, etc.
Coolness was counterculture back then, now it is the only culture.
