I know that many people join this site because they want to find women abroad. Maybe they have a distaste for Western women. Okay that's fine. But it's seriously a waste of mental energy to keep on posting crap about western women over and over again. If you don't like them, okay move the f**k on.

Why don't you spend your mental energy to find a woman you like? Don't waste it on complaining about the women you don't like. You're not even engaged in a relationship with them.

and no, I'm not defending western women... its just that you guys need to grow the f**k up.

You have a point. But you have to remember that people sometimes need to vent. Also, the way you're saying it sounds very confrontational. There are better ways to make your point. All you're going to end up with here is a mass argument, even though your point does have some validity. Rather than telling people not to go on about western women (which is going to happen regardless), how about you start a thread about the virtues of foreign women. That would be more constructive.

Ever since I'd arrived on this forum and started railing on my Femi-Nazi sister, I've been feeling good and now, I'm actually over ALL women, not just AWs. So while I've had good relations abroad, I'm finding that as a man grows out of his 20s, women are actually not needed for one's intrinsic happiness.

Good point. Guys do need to vent. There is so much frustration, anger, misery and dissatisfaction in America. You can see it on faces everywhere.

Some guys here have even confessed to feeling borderline suicidal. They definitely need to vent and feel validated and be given hope. We definitely need to help them in that regard, since no one else will. Others will only give them the typical claptrap, whereas we understand them and can give them real solutions.

The danger though, is that negativity can be very addicting (like the dark side of the Force) so it's easy to fall into the trap of feeding the negativity within yourself and others.

One has to find a balance here.

I should also add that there are too many threads like this one as well, about there being too much complaining and bashing here. For example, see that other one called "Stop the monkey spanking" which went quite long and made the same points as well.

I need to be constantly reminded that I'm not crazy nor alone in my assessment of just how unbearable life in this country can be. Otherwise, my mind will begin working against me, trying to rationalize and justify the deplorable social conditions here, and I slowly begin convincing myself all over again that I am the problem and the sole source of my own loneliness, and that I must somehow make the best of what's available to me here in the US.

This is totally illogical, and I know it, but being inside the borders of the US for too long is almost like being trapped in some kind of psychological hellhole. Your mind begins playing tricks on you. Everyone who's been abroad agrees that once you get outside of this country, it's like you can breath again and see life the way it was meant to be seen. It's like having a spiritual oppression or burden lifted from your psyche. Once we come back to US soil, however, a heaviness sets in, and often times our mood becomes increasingly despondent as the days, weeks, and months begin adding up since our return here.

I agree with Winston. When these problems are so rampant but so unspoken in society, it is necessary to have a place where we can talk about the giant elephant in our rooms. If it's over-the-top or exaggerated, then so be it. It's better than much of the crap the media dishes out nowadays.

My other half is on the other side of the world so I still have one foot in hell here with idle time and loneliness. I'm not exactly Mr. Positivity right now.

I dunno, American Beauty didn't really seem like a movie about being happier abroad. I saw it a few years ago so I might not remember everything but to me it was mostly about how appearances can be deceiving and that the American Dream is just an illusion.

If you're looking for a movie that shows how much American women suck then watch any so called "romantic comedy" released in the past 2 decades. I always get depressed when I watch those, they're trully awful.

Sorry pal, the first step in solving a problem is acknowledging it. I've spent most of my adult life defending Western women or convincing myself that I was the problem. Only in the past few years have I realized that it was not just Western women, but an entire culture, that was the problem. I've done what I can to solve my own personal issues with it. But please don't try to deny me the copious opportunities to ridicule it because it deserves ridicule. It needs it. It needs to be spotlighted, and pinpointed, and publicized again and again. Unless you think that 40+% divorce rates and broken families and women who look and act like men is perfectly reasonable.

And by the way, I did spend my mental energy doing something productive, and I still have mental energy to complain. Some of us can walk and chew gum at the same time, you dumb f**k.

Have you guys heard the phraase "preaching to the choir"? Most of the men here don't find western women attractive. That's fine. But you guys are like kicking a dead horse. Just move on. How can you complain about these women? Are you living with them? Are you dating them currently? If not, then I don't see why you guys are complaining.

Its like I f***ing hate the taste of onions. That's why i don't eat onions. Why the f**k would I complain about the taste onions if I haven't found any onions on my plate?
