Something that I've noticed over the years, as well as a few others, is that many American chicks, especially younger ones, are like real goody two shoes--ish. Or at least that's how they come across. Why is that? I think my own mother for example, typifies this stereotype quite well, and she even told me a teacher of hers in high school told her that. Many girls I've worked with, for example, just strike me as being easily offended, overly moral assholes. Are there historical ramifications for this? Puritan 'values' that may exist, to some degree or another, even to this day?
I understand there is a time and place for everything, and it goes without saying some women could out nasty me any day of the week, but most of the time I'm left scratching my head afterwards thinking " you're offended by THAT?"
Once again, I think that social dynamics play a large part in this, with social media platforms really doing a disservice by creating, to some extent, a very thin skinned population who just want their fragile egos stroked, and freak out when it isn't. I'd still like to hear others thoughts on this, though.
Why are so many American women goody goody?
