I'm finally hitting up the Philippines next month. I'm going with a friend and we both joined Filipino Cupid.

For some reason, I'm doing really bad on here. Girls are responding to me, but I can't get them to Skype with me, while my friend is Skyping with a bunch and already has meet ups with some of them planned.

How is this possible? I almost want to start using PUA tactics on them...

When I was using dating sites, I was only aggressive with pretty girls(Just being honest). If I wasn't in the mood to be aggressive, I would just log in and sit back and let the girls send me a message. It was interesting to see the types of Filipinas who would contact me. I came across girls who looked as young as 13 to ladies who were much older than I was. I was never rude to anyone but I have standards.

If you need to use the online approach, I would advice you to use two diferrent sites. One free site and the other where you have to pay to contact the girls.

IMHO, PUA gimmicks are not needed in the Philippines. For the most part, Filipinas are simple girls who still look up to and revere western men.

Has anyone here just used the strategy of having the girls go straigtht to your hotel front and then going to the mall or even just straight to your room? Also i think its location. Cebu city is swamped from my experience. i notice a lot of girls in mindanao will message me spontaneously i think cause many guys dont go there. I have actually never been asked for money except once. And I did meet the one woman I had decided on and am engaged now. Although, if you can, I would still recommend finding non-dating site girls though, just a bit better quality is all. 2) Have an honest lengthy profile. Describe your likes and admiration of the Philippines culture and state that you are coming soon and are interested in meeting a good girl. Not bargirls or gold diggers.

3) I wouldn't keep chatting with the girl on the site. After a few convos let her know that you are tired of all the fakes online and ask if you could chat on skype or viber or whattsapp. Don't jump too quickly to cam. Just instant message for a little.

4) Put down the guys that are scammers. In a joking way but acknowledge the fact that there are some weirdos on the site and by no means NEVER start talking about sex unless she intiates it, which she won't if she is a good girl.

5) Have as many pics as allowed. Make them handsome pics or your best ones and none showing your wannabe six pack or drinking a beer. I had a pic of me drinking a beer as my profile pic one time. I shortly found out that was a bad move because that shows girls that you may have a wild side or will be unfaithful

I don't think people utilize sites like world friends or Couchsurfing nearly enough. They aren't dating sites but are a fantastic way to meet locals and find out about events. Basically you are meeting friends and opening up your social circle which is invaluable in the Philippines. It is not taboo like online dating because people are naturally interested in meeting other travelers. Plus I've met some people whom have taken me to some badass bars I'd never known about and it kills the loneliness vibe. If you are 20-40 I'd try this out. Older than that might be a little out of place but still worth a shot. Once you meet then you can maybe get a connection.

I dont remember the poster saying he was looking for a wife on his first trip. educated, has a job, non gold digging just eliminated 99.9 percent of the people on that site. Some of us are sex starved in america and for us to eliminate almost all the people on the site is just ridiculous. If you use your big head you can just control yourself and not wife the bad ones and dont fall for their scams and if they ask money go onto the next one all the while you get sex to boot lol. My reason for Mindinao is that you are more exotic there. Manila and Cebu are so saturated with foreigners and the pay for play seen. Just walk down the street or in malls in some smaller mindinao cities and you get a shit load more attention. This not only boosts confidence levels but also opens up more opportunities to meet girls. When I arrived at the bus station in one of the smaller cities, I had girls eyeing me everywhere and smiling and giggling. Sure they are more conservative and less likely for one night stands but like I've mentioned I'm not that big on one night stands anymore.

Some guys here are for strictly getting as much sex as possible. For them I suggest the P4P scene. Easier and the girls are hot. But some guys are not always into that. My advice is for the latter. I've also never claimed the Philippines was a dating paradise but you have way more opportunities for the average guy here than most likely anywhere else in the world.

My reason for Mindinao is that you are more exotic there. Manila and Cebu are so saturated with foreigners and the pay for play seen. Just walk down the street or in malls in some smaller mindinao cities and you get a shit load more attention. This not only boosts confidence levels but also opens up more opportunities to meet girls. When I arrived at the bus station in one of the smaller cities, I had girls eyeing me everywhere and smiling and giggling. Sure they are more conservative and less likely for one night stands but like I've mentioned I'm not that big on one night stands anymore.

Some guys here are for strictly getting as much sex as possible. For them I suggest the P4P scene. Easier and the girls are hot. But some guys are not always into that. My advice is for the latter. For me I'd much rather have a sweet loving girl to enjoy a romantic vacation with rather than screwing random girls then dumping them. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy sex a lot but much more with a girl I have feelings for.
