this may be an isolated question, but i was talking to a 21 year unemployed and dropped out of school (finances) filipina on CB and she said she was looking for husband 36-46 and when i asked why that age, she said they are serious and mature.

My question is, is that a legitimate reason or is there something fishy such as she wants a guy with money to pay for her school?

Well if she wants a guy with money to pay for her school, why would she discriminate at all? Any guy 18 - 99+ with money and willingness to pay would do right? Plenty of younger white guys in Phils and elsewhere have money. After all, whites no matter young or old are all rich from POV of many Filipinas I suppose.

I commented in another thread on the approximate spread of age ranges requested by young Fiipinas on Filipino Cupid. There are plenty who will go up to 40 or even 45, some even 50+. The case above seems fairly normal.

As to the underlying thoughts and motivations for requesting these types of age ranges, I leave it to others to interpret their likely motivations.

Yeah any guy of any age can have money. However, the word around Angeles City, according to Dianne, is that older foreign guys have more money and are more generous with it than younger foreign guys are. Dianne said that she heard this from many girls in Angeles City, that they prefer older men because they are more generous with money and allowances, whereas younger guys are on a tighter budget or broke. So this is their perception, based on their experiences.

I've had an older guy tell me that the major factor working against me is my age. He knows I have trouble relating to the majority of females my age or younger, yet older women may not accept me due to financial reasons or because they are taught by their culture to only consider males older than themselves.

I don't know. Age isn't always the determining factor for me. I've also met many 20+ females that are extremely immature. I know only one girl around my age in real life that I consider as being more mature than most others, but she's the daughter of my mom's friend so if I get involved with her we will both have to deal with 2 b###es. Besides she wants to go to university in America and likely settle there.

It's hard to find a truly good one regardless of age. By truly good I mean life partner material. Sure if you are just looking to have fun and mess around, get a girl with the same intentions or even a hooker. If you are a moral (and even better, Christian) guy that is really serious, you would have to be a lot more selective.

I expect a lot less in terms of looks than many guys on here. My woman must at least be willing to take care of me and show genuine concern for who I am and what I do. Like I said in another post, we don't have to agree on everything, but I'd expect that we have common ground on at least a significant number of matters. In other words, we must have the same core values.

All filipinas call their men guapo. Sure it's nice but it has little to do with your age or relative handsomeness. All filipinas express affection by telling their men they are guapo.

The nail cutting is also a very nice benefit but again is a standard way your girl with express her feelings for you.

Your girl may very well be legit and love you but the behaviors you describe are ones I get and most of the guys married to filipinas receive.
