I'm no GQ personality or anything but the thing is white tennis shoes and socks are kind of a no-win. If they're clean and brand new,
you look clueless/nerdy, and if they're worn-out/dirty they make you look even worse.

I think not flip flops, but some nice trekkers look real cool, there's even light-weight, ventilated, semi-formal shoes that can be worn in hot weather.
Same for pants, I used to bake myself in regular thick jeans here in FL, but I've recently discovered some light-weight pants and jeans with a nice slim cut (more expensive though).

I don't know, just like we don't like AW wearing unkempt stuff on the supermarket, perhaps so we can do things to maximize our results abroad.

Hes been living there since february and still no girlfriend. all scammers etc. he flirts with women all the time no bite. Doesn't look good. Outwest and pete and many others would say befriend the locals etc and he does he lives like a filipino and talks to them. Could it be that the happier abroad guys are not telling the truth about how hard it really is?

Just look at him though, he oozes creep. He's quite overweight, talks about marriage and sex right away with these girls, lacks good hygiene and probably sits around all day pounding down San Miguels. He also probably has unrealistic expectations.

I'm not saying you need to be Brad Pitt but some self respect can go a long way. I'm talking exercising and eating healthy, decent clothes, good hygiene, and manners.
