Cheap accommodation in Philippines?

Post by Banano »

Whats the best site to look for cheap accomodation in PH, Manila, AC, Cebu

I searched wotif.com and asiarooms and I could tell that there are not many budget hotels in these places compared to Thailand and prices are higher.

$50 - $60 for 3 star hotel room per night is too much for country like PH where monthly pay is $150-200.

Am I looking at the right places, I used wotif for 7 years now and it never failed me in Thailand where there is abundance of cheap acc.

I would stay there for about a month, so short term hotel or condo would be an option, where do some people find these $200 per month appartments?

Anyone got any tips, links, websites, secrets to share

Good news. There are $20 apartelles everywhere in Manila, such as the Sogo Hotel chain and the Eurotelle chain (which is much better). But you only get 12 hours, which is enough. They are clean and some give you a free bottle of mineral water.

There are also scores of hotels for under $30 that are everywhere. To be safe, just get in a cab and ask them to take you to the nearest Sogo hotel. Make sure the cab turns on the meter.

The cheap places don't advertise online. Only the expensive places do. Remember that rule.

In Angeles City, there are MANY hotels everywhere for between 1000p and 1600p. The nicest one for the value is Clarkton Hotel, but you have to take a jeepney to get to Fields Ave from there.

8) in angeles city the swagman is very low and will probobly rent rooms for 300 a month if you are friendly with austrailians and dont mind the area and watresses in mini skirts. Also the more rural area the less the prices the swagman has a bus from manilla for only 10 us also so not bad overall. plenty of places in angeles that are reasonoable if you like that area.

I use agoda for a wider range of hotels. But you do understand that Manila is not cheap, nor is Cebu. So I don't know what your budget is but it might be hard to hit in Manila.

You can find decent budget hotels in Thailand on wotif and asiarooms for $200 a month?

In Pataya you can find room for $200 a month with aircon, close to beach there many under $20 per night especially in low season which is now, Phuket is also cheap as there is so many hotels

If accomodation and food is more expensive in PH then Thailand, why is it that people go there instead of Thailand? On top of that infrastructure sucks, Thai women are on par with filipinas if not better, they are both relativly easy to pick up.

Okay I would steer away from manila, what abt cebu, shd be cheaper or not really.
Why is it when I talk to filipinas they always say that you cld live on $400 to $500 a month, one even said she cld live on $350 and also have kid, do they mean I have to live in some ghetto style neighborhood or it is normal apartment in average area?

Even if i pay $30 per night thats $900 per month just for accomodation,
I was under impression that with that money i cld live very comfortably in places like Cebu....If i have to spend $2000-2500 a month to live then i cld just go to one of many local brothels and bang for 70-80 bucks half an hour..thats 25+ diff chicks, asians, white, blacks..

I came to conclusion that MOST people who go there for cheap holiday and cheap sex end up spending much more than they thought, at the end are these chicks really cheap or its myth?

If you can live there for a month , acc, food and bang 10+ young chicks(non p4p) all under 1000 bucks then its value for buck...blowing 2 or 3 or 4K to achieve the same is not smart option.

Is that realistic?

Banano,

In the US, expenses in easy-to-bang, great living cities will KILL the budgets of even the most devout lawyers/doctors; they spend tens of thousands of dollars in one month! Spending 2000 USD a month to get easy chicks, good accommodation(in a 3rd world country!) and decent food in areas outside western culture influence is A BARGAIN! You'd be insane to pass up an opportunity like that, THAT IS HEAVEN to some people. :D Of course, going lower would be a great option. But I might suspect that you may have to cut some amenities.

Because the Philippines has english speaking women. That's what I think and a lot of white guys like the short brown and round look. A lot of Filipinas have this look. That's the only reason I can think of because everything else about the country is inferior or vastly inferior to Thailand.
