The article is very long and I haven't even gotten half way through yet. But for those interested in the Philippines, it's surely an interesting and informative read.

I never knew the Philippines had a big drug problem until this guy came to power. So is this war on drugs of his in some way an excuse to take out political rivals? Also, the Philippines seems to be one of the few countries in Asia where criminal gangs seem to have a lot of guns.
Even Billy knows that, just ask Mr S!

Private construction hit by worker shortage

MANILA, Philippines – Shortage in construction workers is weighing down private building activities nationwide, real estate consultancy firm Colliers International said.

In its latest report, Colliers said labor shortage is becoming a threat to private construction in the Philippines.

“Colliers believes that private construction could’ve been more robust if not for construction delays brought about by the lack of adequately-skilled workers,” it said.

“The intensified development of public infrastructure projects around the country will exacerbate this problem,” Colliers said.

Private construction in the country posted a 16.2 percent growth in the third quarter of the year behind sustained appetite for office and retail developments, it added.

The property consultancy firm said the demand is mainly fueled by a continuously growing IT-BPM sector and rising purchasing power of Filipinos.

According to Colliers, the completion of new office and retail space continues to thrive in key growth areas outside of the country’s capital such as Clark, Cavite, Laguna, Cebu, and Davao.

If Filipinos do start returning from overseas in droves, that's probably a great dynamic for us expats who spend a lot of time here. To date, many of the quality people I have met here have plans in the works to relocate overseas or have already done so. Many just have not felt that the local situation gives them reasonable opportunities to earn fair compensation and grow professionally in the medium to long term.

If that brain drain dynamic reverses, it might become easier to meet higher caliper middle class types of locals, a significant percentage of which are currently working in foreign lands.

Mark this day in your diary or Google calendar folks, 'cos these opportunities only comes few times in life for you to realize all your dreams.

Philippines will be the richest country on Earth by 2025 which everyone will know and by 2020 you will feel it and the word gets around. I have actually pushed this prophesy early as Time Lines are been slowed for Philippines.

If you think the time is too less but for Philippines..They are stretching the time for 1 year in Philippines is like 10 years for rest of the world.

Its unbelievable just like Trump ..I did some research and except me and few others ..Nobody got it right on Trump winning the presidency...

99.99% of everyone on earth were fooled by the darkness NOT ME. I know I sound cocky but its just to put my point across.

I have also created the video back in May, 2016 on this but everything is coming true and unraveling itself in just six months.

If for nothing, Philippines is by far the fastest growing economy in the world....This should give you creeps already when everyone said due to Duterte companies will pull out but on the contrary, companies are lining up to invest in Philippines.

Not developing, not developed....Philippines will be so rich, Filipinos will sweat GOLD....1000 times richer than what we know America and Europe, Japan to be.

This is a promised prophesy which I would be help accountable for in heaven or hell.

I thought this day is far away but OFW returning to Philippines would start by 2017 itself...Trump Presidency and his stand on Immigration confirms it, also, America would decide not to buy Oil from Saudi when Trump takes over...So that's the end of 80% of Filipinos in Middle east.

America has too much oil to depend on gulf now and trump wants a boost on local economy.

The good news is, they all will be absorbed by booming economic miracle in Philippines.

The problem here is we have been made to believe in Choice, Freedom, democracy, Liberty when none exist...Only thing that matters for the rulers of this planet is GOLD. and Philippines has the largest stock of Gold in the entire planet.

Even World Bank Lawyer Whistle Blower Agrees.

LOL...you are thinking straight and logically ...we are way past that...The world is insane by design...The end game is gold.

Fort Knox, Hitler Nazi, Japanese Gold ended up in Philippines for a reason...Philippines has the most gold...Why? :D

Lots of people predicted Trump would win, including me. The only people predicting the Sea Hag would win were lamestream media scammers trying to make their prediction into a self fulfilling prophecy.

Easily the BEST day for Philippines..I cannot believe this...

Philippines president says opening economy to new players, tells oligarchs "I owe you nothing"

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/wires/reuter ... archs.html

MANILA, Nov 23 (Reuters) - Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte vowed on Wednesday to open up the economy to new corporations to halt graft and protectionism, telling the country's oligarchs he owed them no favours and to be content with their billions

The outspoken, populist leader said it was high time to change regulations and liberalise sectors like energy, power and telecoms to make the country more competitive, and give Filipinos better services and a share of the wealth.

Duterte, who was swept to office in May by a huge margin on a platform tilted towards the poor, said he had consciously shut powerful tycoons out of his election campaign and where his reform plan was concerned they would have to like it or lump it.

"The only way for deliverance of this country is to remove it from the clutches of the few people who hold the power and money," he told a news conference.

"I do not owe you anything, that's precisely why I was avoiding you during the last election. I am not trying to destroy you. You have the advantage, you're here already, be content with that. But let us open everything."

The mercurial former mayor has shown no qualms about confronting conglomerates who dominate the Philippines economy, which is growing at one of the world's fastest rates.

Despite jitters among investors that Duterte's volatility could impact policy, the economy expanded 7.1 percent in the July-September period - the first quarterly data of his presidency.

Duterte spoke moments after arriving home from a leaders' summit in Peru of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), whose closing statement committed to fight "all forms of protectionism".

Investors have long been frustrated at being shut out of some sectors in a market of more than 100 million Filipinos, either squeezed by local monopolies or regulations that limit foreign investments, like in telecoms and utilities.

The Philippines currently has 21 billionaires, according to Forbes Magazine, with a record number in 2016. The richest had a net worth of $12 billion.

TIME TO SHARE

"You can count on your fingers the power players of this country. I would not say that they are the elite," Duterte said.

"I would like just to send this strong message: it's about time that we share the money of the entire country and to move faster, make competition open to all," he said.

"You stymie competition and we will always be at the mercy of the corrupt people."

His remarks suggest he is determined to deliver on pledges to thwart protectionism, having already warned the telecoms duopoly of Philippine Long Distance Telephone and Globe Telecom to shape up, or face new competition.

Philippines' data and voice services are ranked among Asia's slowest and most intermittent, a source of angst for businesses.

Duterte said that in the power and energy sectors, the government was looking into regulatory requirements and institutional arrangements "to hasten the entry of new players".

He also said he would be diversifying sources of hardware for his military, bemoaning its use of American "hand-me-downs" and efforts by a U.S. senator to block the sale of 26,000 new M-4 assault rifles to the Philippines police.

He said his new friend, Russian President Vladimir Putin, had told him to turn to Russia instead, and had made him a buy-one, get-one-free guns offer.

"It's for free, so I get double," Duterte said.

...This means...Power Cheap, More telecom options..>WOWOWOWOW....THIS IS IT... :o :o
