This is my 4th day in Thailand on 2 month tourist visa. As long as there's a breath in my body, I will do whatever I have to do to live abroad here in Southeast asian paradises away from shithole America. I truly hate America with all my heart. Americans are like crabs in a bucket. When one crab tries to climb out of the bucket, the other crabs pull him back down to keep him misery. I will forever remain free and there is nothing anyone can do to stop me from living the life that I want.

When I went back to TN, you all looked like zombies. When I observed you all as you were driving in your cars, or working, or.....God forbid.....walking, you looked like the lights were on but nobody was alive inside. None of you Americans have the closest idea what it feels like to be alive, or free, or passionately in love. You're all a bunch of walking dead. I remember seeing an older man probably in his 60s, retired, and he would just stand in his yard and stare at me as I walked down the road as if it was absurd to him that anyone would walk. What an idiot. That old man has probably never been out of America in his life. And he's going to die in TN without any knowledge or experience of what a real life is like in another country. He has no clue. And no one else who lives in TN has a clue either.

I will literally savor every single second of every single day here for the duration of my stay in Thailand. Savor.

Wow kangarunner. It looks nice. Don't carry too much cash on you. So if you get robbed you don't lose too much. How would you compare Thai girls and Vietnamese girls? You should check out the islands off the coast of Thailand like Kosemet. They are nice and have beaches and cheap hotels. Are you going to Pattaya? If so go to Soi 6. There you can get hot girls for only 20 dollars!

I stayed in a middle class neighborhood in Bangkok for a month and liked it. But not many people speak English there.

I did a lot of traveling and just going around foreign cities where I lived as a young man. Traveling alone has its difficulties and dangers. if you have a lot of bags, it's hard to go to the bathroom at the airport and keep your stuff sake. If you get sick and no one takes care of you, you could die. You could get robbed or worse if you pass out.

Don't do drugs, man. I could guess what happened. Maybe one of the marijuana farmers was on some nasty drug like fentanyl, and some of the human feces he excreted to fertilize the marijuana might have accidentally gotten on the leaf you smoked. You never know what kind of nasty stuff is in there, especially if the product is illegal. You know how the mules get stuff across borders, don't you? That type of contamination is more likely with illegal drugs.

I agree. Money is a tool and part of life. But so are many things. Life should not be all about one thing. So it's very bad for America to set making money as the goal of life. In America there's nothing to do but work and shop. All there is to do is buy things, which is stupid. Buying things is part of life, but it should NOT be all there is to do! There's no fun or social connection or romance or flirtation or meaning or authenticity or true freedom to be yourself in America. All these things matter but America doesn't offer them! That's a horrible travesty!

You have a very sincere and authentic voice Andy, and you speak from the heart. Most YTers sound like slick talking sales people on an infomercial trying to sell you something, which is annoying. But you sound very honest and not trying to manipulate anyone. Very refreshing. It's too bad most people aren't attuned to that yet.

I've always wondered about something. How come 99 percent of travelers and expats don't make the kind of observations and statements that Kangarunner made above? It's as if most of them, even if they are abroad, have no ability to make observations, and they can only go through the motions. Like NPCs. It makes you wonder if most people even have real souls or not. All they do is say simple stuff like "the trip was great, a lot of fun" etc.

Don't you guys ever notice that most people just go through the motions and there's nothing there? It makes you wonder if most people are just AI and not even real thinking people like us? If we are in a virtual reality simulation like Grand Theft Auto, then that's definitely possible and on the table.

What do you think @Lucas88 and @Pixel--Dude? Does that cross your mind too? Don't most people seem like they are just going through the motions and have no ability to make observations and introspect and analyze people and cultures?

Well that's very easy to say when you have somebody GIVING you money and you don't need to go out into the world and MAKE money. Also, you're spending US DOLLARS in foreign countries so your money goes a lot further. Impossible to take anyone seriously who doesn't work for a living. That's one of the many reasons why nobody takes YOU seriously.

Stop clowning. Any vacation or a change of pace makes you feel "FREE and ALIVE". But if you had to live the everyday routine of an average Thai resident you will be singing a whole different tune. Guaranteed. The novelty of an exotic location will wear off eventually and you will be left face to face with the harsh realities of the regular life.

Yeah, it's called a routine. That Thai street vendor who just sold you an exotic fruit smoothie feels like an NPC every single second of his life. But for you, a privileged American citizen with US dollars to spend, the world is just an enormous size playground to explore.

What do you want me to observe and analyze exactly, Happy Belly? The life of an average Russian factory worker? Hard labor for shit pay, chronic alcoholism, and domestic violence? Yes, the life and times of an average Slavic wage cuck in a commie block are very introspective! That is until the mother Russia sends him to die in the neighboring country for the Tsar's schizophrenic geopolitical ambitions.
