Singapore is easy to get into if you're from a developed country. Possession and importation of chewing gum are illegal. Throwing trash on the street can get you a $1,000 fine. Do not bring durians on the metro. Drug traffickers face the death penalty, and vandals are caned on their bare skin.
Not surprisingly, Singapore got its nanny state attitude from the British.
