If you are in Los Angeles area you can get some of the Asian fusion items. Arcadia has Taiwanese owned restaurants that serve Japanese style rice burgers with teriyaki beef. Korean places in LA serve Asian style pizza and fried chicken.
I've been to Japan and most McDonald's don't have this exotic food options - they have food similar to Western McDonalds. Although I only went to a few restaurants while I was there.

Google "MOS Burger" and look at the pictures. They're the 2nd largest burger chain in Japan after McDonalds, and have branches in 7 countries across Asia.

MOS Burger outlets are everywhere in Taipei. The taste is mediocre to be honest, but at least still better than Dico's in China.

MOS Burgers are awesome, Falcon! Much better than Burger King or dare I say, Five Guys in the US. I wish they had them in China.

I believe it! Try KFC in Bangkok! OMgoodness! Too f.ucking good! Stateside food is nasty compared to most foreign/abroad food. Like that European doctor said to the White-American guy that went from being a vegetarian to a meat-eater in "Supersize Me" the movie, "Why does American food have to be so disgusting?"
The only foreign food that is so nasty is certain provinicial Filipino food (although the sweets were very good and very bad for me!) and Chilean food (except for ceviche and Pinguino ice and ice cream cakes) based on the sixteen countries I have been to.
You know a country's food is uber-nasty when the sweets are the only thing that taste good.
