Cybercrime & Libelous Comments can get you 12 Yrs Prison in the Philippines. Winston watch out!!!

"According to the act, someone found guilty of libellous comments online, including comments made on social networks and blogs, could be jailed for up to 12 years with no possibility of parole."

Check out this BBC article about the Philippines. It is mainly about Cybersex, but they are cracking down on Free Speech online too in the Philippines!

I'm not into "cyber-sex" and what not..........

BUT I find it funny when they state that women and young girls are "forced" into it.

IMHO, leaving out that I believe most CHOOSE to do it for easy money, wouldn't the reason women are "forced" to do it due to the appalling lack of employment, the over-population, the lack of any social safety net and the corrupt nature of governments, WHOM really is FORCING these young woman and girls to do such things?
"What we are seeing in this headless misandry is a grand display of the Tyranny of the Underdog: "I am a wretchedly longstanding victim;therefore I own no burden of adult accountability, nor need to honor any restraint against my words and actions. In fact, all efforts to restrain me are only further proof of my oppressed condition."

"It is the most perfect trump-card against accountable living ever devised."

They lie to themselves through the law. All sex workers are deemed to have been victims of human traffickers therefore a statutory rape charge can be added on to anyone caught with a prostitute should political pressure demand it

I bet no-one with enough money to pay off the Police/Judge will spend 1 day in jail... Our country would be so much better if we could pay off people to avoid drink-driving charges, etc.
