I'm not talking repulsive forced marriages,I mean where friends and family matchmake and introduce you to girls with strong encouragement to marry with the whole thing not being forced.ive heard this from vietnamese friends of mine and you can confirm it on reddit Vietnam sub .

It's very common in rural areas and the south in general.

So you can do this if this is what you prefer.ask friends you make to do this for you and you'll meet some nice girls.

However love is pragmatic in vietnam and heavily based on taking care of the woman and her family.

I'm with mine right now and the only thing good about it is the sex. Before her I was living alone for so many years that I adapted to that way of life and the freedom I had. Marriage isn't for free men. It's for the rest of them.
