I think the thread is misleading. There are American women who spoil men (every heard the term Sugar moma). So it's not just something that happens to Japanese women but to other women too.

My girlfriend keeps saying she will grow her business because she wants me to quit my job and she will support me. I can understand this thinking. Chinese girls seem to have it in their head, although often confirmed by reality, that if a guy gets more money, he will use it to get more girls. It makes sense that they would want to spoil a guy and do everything they can to keep him around.

Not saying I approve, by the way. I believe man should support the whole family. That's just me though.
