Trip to China question

Post by RedMenace »

I have been planning to visit Shanghai for a week or two sometime in the next 1 or 2 years. Already had to renew my passport so i have 5 more years on it. Question is how much money approximately in pounds would i need to obtain and what airline would you recommend to fly from London to Shanghai. I already have a place to stay so you can remove hotel costs. Only thing i can think of is the return flight ticket and some spending money. This should be a bare minimum approximation. Thanks.

Send a PM message to kai1275 (profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=9050)--and he'll give you the run-down on China. He doesn't post on HappierAbroad anymore, but he will still answer questions about China through PM messages. If he doesn't respond back, PM Xiongmao instead.

Go on Skyscanner and you can find out which day is cheapest to fly on. I flew Virgin when I went to Shanghai. They're quite fun and I had the privilege of taking the crew's souvenir photos for them when they got to the maglev station.

I actually spent very little in Shanghai, the food was awful and there wasn't much else to buy.
I was Happier Abroad for a while but Covid killed that off.
