Russian Women??

I likely have asked this question before during my early days here, but I want to know since I may be going to Russia sometime next year:

All the (possible) racist ultra-nationalist Russian men aside, how are Russian women, in general? I am asking because I am trying to go to Russia for a Study Abroad program (as mentioned in another thread). I was originally slated to go to Kiev, Ukraine, but since that program does not offer me any credit, the woman game me the option of either going to St. Petersburg or Moscow; the program being Russian Language study (which is worth 15 college credits). With this program, I would actually learn the Russian language.

I just want to know how Russian women are, if they look down on Black men or not, and if they don't, are they feminist-infested/Infected or not.

Also, this young man told me about St. Petersburg (he was born in and grew up in Russia; he is a few years younger than me) and he told me that it is generally nice.

Don't worry about it. I have been talking to this Russian girl since 2008. I met her on MySpace. She doesn't see skin color with me. She has never said the word "black." She is nice, sweet, caring, intelligent, gorgeous, has a sense of humor, self-assured...She is amazing. I talk to her aboutt all of my problems and she actually cares. She tells me all of her problems too. I do care for her. She told me that she would move to any country I decide to live in. Definitely a loyal person. Stop worrying about all of this black stuff. They don't even care. Just my opinion.

P.S. She is not feminized whatsoever. She sent me pictures of her trip to Greece a week or so ago. She is like a photographer and a chef. She makes good money. She doesn't want to come to America either. She wants to live in Sweden (another country I like). I wouldn't worry about the women.

You have a point. However, I am sort of worried about the men. Don't get me wrong, I am NOT going to let that scare me out of what could be a golden opportunity for me. I just want to know if I do encounter that ultra-nationalist element, how can I take care of myself?

Also, on an unrelated note, the young man told me about how the police are in Russia: In many respects, they have more power and authority/clout than the military. He also told me about how they deal with criminals or law-breakers there: They would beat the shit (excuse my Tagalog) out of you first BEFORE taking you in, or they would beat the shit (once again, excuse my Arabic) out of you, take you in, THEN tell your lawyer to tell you not to do that again... I told him that i was concerned about encountering the ultra-natioinalist element if I go to St. Petersburg, and he told me about the Russian police in response: Even that element knows about the police, so (assuming the Russian Five-O is not corrupt) they aren't exactly eager to start trouble.

Sort of off topic, but I was wondering: Why do African-Americans seem to only be going to Eastern-Europe, South America and Asia where they might have somewhat of a disadvantage? Why don't they consider going to Africa where they are guaranteed to be accepted for their race? I asked this to some American black guy on youtube and he got all defensive thinking I was trying to dictate him as a white man or something. It just seems worth wondering because West Africa has many cheap yet civilized places where a majority of people speak good English. I figured maybe it's due to how African females are thought to be physically unappealing, but surely that's only seen as true by other races as men tend to be attracted to women of their own ethnicity. Is it solely due to bad experiences with African-American women putting them off black women full stop?

If you're black, you better be good looking , muscular, and have that "look."

I'd advise Ukraine over Russia, there are many Ukrainian-Black couples and offspring and it's much more lax compared to Russia.

You will get beat up in St.Petersburg if you're black and seen with a white woman, trust me on this.

Says who? It's true that the media of the more-developed western countries tend to promote a post-racial outlook, but whether most people actually think like that when no one is watching is another issue altogether.

The politics in Europe are so right-wing now that everyone is intensely aware of racial and ethnic differences.

Yes, yes and yes. I lived there for a year. I loved the experience, but the country warps most people. It's a tough town. The evil prosper. Mafia like activity seems to be the only way to wealth. It is hard to describe how cold and brutal the society is, and it takes time to really see it. It's a hard place and creates hard people, usually. Some notable exceptions, however.
