Here she is doing a video about the origin of mail order brides. In the video she explains why women in Russia use marriage agencies, for one thing she says, in Russia women outnumber men 10 to 8. So if you project that by a million, you get 10 million single women and only 8 million single men.

Also, a lot of the men in Russia are not looking to get married, they just want to fool around. So in reality, it's not a 10 to 8 ratio of single women to single men it's more like a 10 to 4 ratio I would say of single women who are looking for a serious relationship. In other words, there are a lot single women in Russia who are having a hard time meeting men and if they don't use a marriage agency, they will never meet a man!
