Why don't any FSU agencies set up an English site?

Why don't any FSU agencies set up an English site?

Post by romparoo »

I just thought about this and this is really weird. We all know the few so called agency sites here that are supposedly 'legit'. But then these are usually companies domiciled in US and other western countries started by western citizens, which sort of acts like a middle man linking clients with 'real agencies' in FSU countries who actually got the women's profiles. If there is a real demand for foreign men, then these FSU agencies could have just set up shop in US and cut out the middle man. These FSU agencies could have just made a killing with money made by cutting out the middle man. It's not difficult to start a company in US and making an English site is even easier. But this never happens which brings to the point of whether the whole business structure is a big scheme. And the reality may just be that there is no actual demand for foreign men, just fancy photos from studios bought over and repackaged into profiles.

I am not trying to sound negative, as people here might say. I would be interested to see if anyone can come up with a good explanation.

Btw, if you have some free time and nothing better to do, try this exercise: checking out the emigration stats from FSU countries.
You might be surprise

Very good question. Obviously there would be a tax issue if they had a U.S. presence... but so what? Mark Davis must have SOME aftertax profits, so why wouldn't Nikolaev Nikita want to get the net profit that Mark is getting?

The only thing I can think of is trust. maybe Americans just don't trust Russians with their money?

I did see a Russian matchmaking ad on RT (Russia Today) television channel yesterday, a first I think. Maybe they read your mind and have stolen your idea.

Sneaky Russians!

That's an oxymoron. So Americans don't trust Russians but want to marry one?
I have seen Mark's website. It looks interesting especially for western men who are desperate but I am not sure if it will work out for most people. Mark only needs 100 clients and he would have raked in more than $400k for just being a tour guide. Heck I will start learning Russian and start a tour company too. I am pretty sure a lot of FSU agencies, if they are real, wouldn't mind that extra cash in hand.

Assuming there is no third party scammers, I think at least 80% of profiles are fake or fillers put by agencies. The reason is straightforward. Agencies just can't keep bluffing without any consequences. If many clients are unhappy knowing that it's all just marketing hype preying on lonely men, there is always the consumer protection bureau. The current business structure allows western domiciled companies to transfer that blame. A FSU agency with registered business in western country would have gotten nailed for fraud.

I think what I have said is not what many men wanted to hear

Oh no. Mark Davis' setup is not that easy. 100 clients does not equal $400,000 profit. He has a ton of expenses that he has to pay for. His net would be a lot lower than that. Also, getting the clients is the hard part. Anyone can multiply numbers into big sales. But that's only simple mathematics. Getting the clients to agree and pay is the hard part. Same with any business.

There are FSU agencies in the US, such as Anastasia Web and many FSU owned dating sites. Elenas Models is also owned by a Russian woman, but she lives in Australia with her husband.

The dating site under my domain name is Russian owned too. http://dating.happierabroad.com

Just try Winston's website. I speak Russian and I am using it myself. There are new women added everyday and those women register there, just like you do. Website administrators actually ask women to fax over their passport copy in some cases, to confirm their identity. One girl told me about it. So give it a try, it's only around $120 per year for membership, no other fees.

The Russian websites are in Russian as it's their language and they'd loose almost all women who "can't afford" to translate profiles/messages into other languages.

I think what I have said is not what many men wanted to hear
Only he maybe knows 8 words of Russian now compared to zero when he met Anna. After 5 years, I think you can see how unimportant it is to learn Russian, now if you want to waste your time doing so, funny I only find White men doing this, have at it gee.

Mark works with ONE agency and much of the other logistical stuff is handled by Anna and her family.

Many clients are unhappy for specific reasons.

Unprepared: They have never been in a situation where that many women are in the same area. If you have a problem going up to one woman in a nightclub, what do you think happens when the room is full of no other men besides yourself, 20-29 others and 150-200 or more women??

Most guys going on these tours have difficulty back at home. According to studies and Mark's only database the average age of a man on these tours are 39. However I think he (and others) would agree the majority of men are 45-60. The older a man is the less likely they are to finally tie the knot, its proven.

What is the number one adjective given to describe an AFA tour? Overwhelming (case closed!)

Unrealistic expectations: What are the realistic chances of you marrying a woman 28 years your junior? I'd say you have a better shot at winning the lottery, playing a down in the NFL or landing a roll on a popular TV show (4%). Realistic age limited that work at home largely work overseas.

Now that said, there is some wiggle room. You can date slightly younger women than you normally would in North America/Western Europe.

40 and under, late 20's

45-55 late 30's, early 40's

55 and over, I think you know where you need to be.

Most women about 25 is the delta, much younger and you might run into some maturity issues.

Small town/Village girls however well expand out a few years, while City girls stick to tight 8-10 age gaps.

As far as I know, Elena's Model is the only one with unlimited uncensored correspondence with an one off cost. Anastasia Web looks very similar to Fiance. I have an account in Fiance and I am bombarded with 'interest' the very moment I log in. The problem is I do not even have a photo there. I also have an account in Elena's Model, and it is just as quiet as a street at 3am on a Monday morning. The difference in response is so huge it's shocking. PS. I am not a grandpa. I'm in mid 20s, a good bloke with a good job.

Another thing I notice is that the women in Fiance and Anastasia Date are much hotter. AFA too, which is linked to your site. But every letter costs money. And you get charged for both reading and writing. Common sense tells me that most women there get a commission split with the FSU agencies. It wouldn't surprise me some women actually earn money this way full time, which explains why I am bombarded with interest and letters the moment I log in. By chatting with so many men and earning money at the same time, it is not unusual that she finally meets someone she likes, and married. The problem with this arrangement is that it's kinda similar to the American system where women get it all. You buy them drinks, drive them around, foot their posh dinner bills, and you get 'friendzoned'. I bet for sure most men spent a lot of money chatting with nothing in return. Very few men would actually get a partner, not because they are grandpas or mentally deficient, but because the whole system is in favor of women making money from chatting. The system should be made in favor of two people genuinely knowing each other. The pay per letter thing has to be discarded. Well, Elena's Model doesn't have this nonsense. And the difference is there to be seen.

It seems to me that, unfortunately, the road less taken, is less taken for some valid reasons :(

As somebody said the problem with American men is that they like to take the path of least ressistence, they think with a few mouse clicks they gonna get young and hot wife material women, agencies relaized this and now they are exploiting this weakness

i can just imagine how most and I mean most western men get burned in FSU, older guys in particular due to enrealistic expectations
Russians are not Filipinas

It would be interesting to pull some stats about success rate of these FSU agencieis

Anywhere between 8% and 50%. Mark is near 50% but that number will go down the more tours he goes on, why? Too many "lookie-lous" so-called curious men just wanting to see how it works - A Fool and his money are soon parted.

+1 - it's like saying "Why isn't happierabroad.com in the Chinese language?"

Re: Your first sentence. I don't know which is more pathetic: chatting with women who pretend to like you while they earn your money, or playing computer games or watch TV all day being 'forever alone'.

It would also be interesting to pull some stats about success rate of folks here at Happier Abroad
