The only thing I can think of is trust. maybe Americans just don't trust Russians with their money?
That's an oxymoron. So Americans don't trust Russians but want to marry one?
I have seen Mark's website. It looks interesting especially for western men who are desperate but I am not sure if it will work out for most people. Mark only needs 100 clients and he would have raked in more than $400k for just being a tour guide. Heck I will start learning Russian and start a tour company too. I am pretty sure a lot of FSU agencies, if they are real, wouldn't mind that extra cash in hand.
Assuming there is no third party scammers, I think at least 80% of profiles are fake or fillers put by agencies. The reason is straightforward. Agencies just can't keep bluffing without any consequences. If many clients are unhappy knowing that it's all just marketing hype preying on lonely men, there is always the consumer protection bureau. The current business structure allows western domiciled companies to transfer that blame. A FSU agency with registered business in western country would have gotten nailed for fraud.
I think what I have said is not what many men wanted to hear

Only he maybe knows 8 words of Russian now compared to zero when he met Anna. After 5 years, I think you can see how unimportant it is to learn Russian, now if you want to waste your time doing so, funny I only find White men doing this, have at it gee.
Mark works with ONE agency and much of the other logistical stuff is handled by Anna and her family.
Many clients are unhappy for specific reasons.
Unprepared: They have never been in a situation where that many women are in the same area. If you have a problem going up to one woman in a nightclub, what do you think happens when the room is full of no other men besides yourself, 20-29 others and 150-200 or more women??
Most guys going on these tours have difficulty back at home. According to studies and Mark's only database the average age of a man on these tours are 39. However I think he (and others) would agree the majority of men are 45-60. The older a man is the less likely they are to finally tie the knot, its proven.
What is the number one adjective given to describe an AFA tour? Overwhelming (case closed!)
Unrealistic expectations: What are the realistic chances of you marrying a woman 28 years your junior? I'd say you have a better shot at winning the lottery, playing a down in the NFL or landing a roll on a popular TV show (4%). Realistic age limited that work at home largely work overseas.
Now that said, there is some wiggle room. You can date slightly younger women than you normally would in North America/Western Europe.
40 and under, late 20's
45-55 late 30's, early 40's
55 and over, I think you know where you need to be.
Most women about 25 is the delta, much younger and you might run into some maturity issues.
Small town/Village girls however well expand out a few years, while City girls stick to tight 8-10 age gaps.
