I've been to Santiago and had a great time. I was really impressed with the country and the people...

Then I come here and see people slamming the country vecause the women are the worst looking ones in South America (in their opinion).

I have been watching events in Chile since I first visited over 12 years ago. Finally this last year I began taking some meaningful steps.
I have been using a home in Arizona as my US side "base" for when I return as well as some US based tech things and some servers
I have there, as well as remote desktop functions. I am so troubled by events in the US, with the slide towards despotism and the diminished freedom and prosperity that the ruling statists will bring, that I am working to change my nationality.

As part of my effort to acquire Chilean citizenship, I need Chilean residency of course- which somewhat like a US Green-card, mandates that I spend more than half my time in Chile. That clock will start ticking later this year. Fortunately, my wife and in-laws are on board with this. The fact that my father in law is a mining engineer may have also perked his interest in Chile.


The reality is that a Philippines passport is about meaningless, whereas a Chilean passport is nearly as good as first tier passports.

Mark my word folks, before the end of Obama's term, he will find some "emergency" that requires him to implement something similar to Soviet style exit visas for US citizens wishing to leave the country. In his heart he is a vile despot, and just realizes he must bide his time.

Yup, something is going to go down in the next few years which will make it extremely difficult for the average American to travel. Whether it is due to political changes, financial or both it is coming. I suggest getting out of the states within the next two years or less or you may be screwed.

Even if you have to lower your standard of living for a bit or god forbid marry a women strictly to get a residency visa in another country, do it. At least as an American you will maybe have an advantage over other nationalities in that you can think outside the box and develop ways to move ahead socially and financially in whichever country you are in. I've done this in the Philippines but there is only so far one can go without getting married to a local or acquiring citizenship which as Outwest said is almost useless anyways.

This is not a joke, I've read various alternative Ph D's and other researchers and listen to them regularly on various radio shows I download. The mainstream media is a con and just misleading/distracting you. Something big is going to happen in America by the end of this decade, good or bad. It will shape the next four generations of Americans. It's already been proven that every 80 years or so America goes through a crisis period that reshapes it. Read this book and you'll know whats going on and potentially what may happen to America:

i am so tempted to get on a plane to Davao. (And I may.)

But the path to a worthwhile second passport, and expatriation, and freedom clearly lies in Latin America, not Asia.

If memory serves, you're also not someone on the "conspiracy theorist" bandwagon (versus folks like me, Winston, Zboy, and many others here). What I'm saying is, if even the red-stater vets are getting ready to expatriate, look the f**k out. And GTFO.

Also taking note of the fact that your Filipino in-laws are cool with LA. Good to know. Also the point about maintaining a U.S. addy. Nice touch.

I just wish I could join you in Chile. But it takes bucks to get there. Real estate investment, organized and planned investment, or a real job. So I guess I'll need to go to Paraguay to establish residency and eventually citizenship (easier than Chile). Maybe then actually live most of the year in Mexico (easy residency, great business address for U.S.) or Uruguay (beaches, pro-Armenian, good reputation with girls worldwide, livable for my mom).

But I sure wish I could get over to Davao first.

Dude, that says my generation fits the hero archetype. The only other American generations in that type are the original Revolutionary one and the Greatest Generation in WWII. The fact that there is a hero generation speaks of dark times, but there is a good feeling about being part of history.

I'm reading reviews of the book now. So the authors are saying my generation are going to adopt something akin to traditional value? That's what I keep arguing. The end of Post-Modernism. Here's the Amazon review for their other work Millenials Rising:

We have a couple dozen Vietnamese bikini coffee bars in OC. It's a funny cycle of bikini -> lingerie -> body paint -> bikini -> repeat, as cities crack down on nudity and make the girls put bikini's back on instead of working topless or wearing only pasties and body paint.

The girls working there range from high school or college kids looking to make an extra buck, to shady drug dealers and girls looking for sugar daddies. Many girls started working while underage. I have a Viet friend who started working at a bikini cafe since she was 16 & got paid under the table.
