Had Enough?

Have you had enough of MAGA Amerika? If you haven't, don't worry, it will get much worse before it gets better.

This is just a word of encouragement for anyone who is thinking about leaving the US. I was born and raised in the Midwest, lived on the West Coast for 20+ years, then moved to South America about 20 years ago. From a financial perspective, many would say it was a bad decision, and if you only count the dollars I forfeited, that POV is not wrong. But in every other way, it was probably the best decision I ever made.

Of course there are problems here. No place is perfect. But the general pace of life, the generosity of the people, the easy access to nature, the cheap land and building costs, the low tax burden....well....let's say i have done well and I am quite secure and happy where I am.

I have a very good list of professional contacts (realtors, lawyers, notaries, bankers, etc) who might be able to help you make a move like I did.

Last bit....I am not urging anyone to be reckless. You need to do some research and planning and think things through, but from my experience, it has all been worth it.
