Theres a lot of Americans thinking about leaving the US right now and some want to take their state with them.

It's kind of hilarious how these states are trying to leave the union when Puerto Rico is trying to get in.

It's citizens (everyday people) who signed the petition. Which, of course, is pretty meaningless since politicians rarely listen to the people nor do they comply with the people's wishes.

If Obama is as popular as his landslide reelection victory would indicate then why do 20 states feel the need to leave immediately after the election?

Sounds like what happened during the Civil War. I would if America would be better off divided.

Maybe the seceded states could set up a government that abides by the US Constitution to the letter.

You have to have a somewhat intelligent populace to make the documents work for the people.
